Division could very well come down to Hawks vs Niners

if we lose Thursday we don’t deserve the division at all.

Can’t be swept by ANY divisional opponent and expect to win it.

SF now 6.5–1 to win the division. That’s an incredible bet longshot right there.
Realistically it requires a Seahawks win over the Rams, (coin flip), a 49ers win over the Seahawks, (coin flip), and 49ers wins over the Bears, and at the Colts (net - less chance than a coin flip). That 4-game combo is probably a 10% chance, (+900). There are some other unlikely scenarios but not enough probability to make +650 a value bet.

I think the Bears can beat the Niners in two weeks.
agreed. SF has played great, but they can certainly lose one of the next 2 games (at Indy on MNF, vs. Chicago). that would essentially kill their division chances. but yes Week 18 Sea at SF might be for the NFC West title.

If the Niners lose a game before they they face us they probably rest their guys in the last game - yeah?

Depends. We just gotta win our games, including the final in Santa Clara.

We are just a close to number one seed as we are to the number seven seed for seasons end. Lots of football left to play

Rams still hold the tie breaker against us for they have scored one more point than us in head to head.

But as of now we are number one all by ourselves. Yahoo

If the 49ers win out they will be the #1 seed regardless of what happens with now happens with the Rams and/or the NFC North. As it stands the Seahawks at 49ers game in Week 18 really will be for all the marbles. The loser will likely be the #6 seed.

That’s not a thing H2H is tied 1–1
They hold the similar opponents tie breaker if we end with the same record (losing to CAR) or divisional record (if we lose to SF)

They ? The 49ers or the Seahawks ? I don’t think either will be resting as Detroit is going to be nipping at their heels for wildcards. Also the position ultimately is important in the rare event two wildcards play in the nfc championship

Why would Detroit be nipping at Seattle's heels for a wildcard?

Hope so. If we can put 31 on the rams and 27 on the texans, two of the top 5 defenses in the league, the niners defense doesn't scare me in the least.

Our offense is better than their defense, question is, is their offense better than our defense? I dont think so.

If the 49ers lose to the bears or colts and we beat the Panthers, do we clinch the division?
