Darnold is perfectly fine because he has a team around him to help him. He isn't perfect but the NFL is a team game.

I don't think Darnold proved any more than he has in the last couple of years. I didn't like the signing, but came around and saw potential.

More lately, and not just because of the constant National media drivel about him because just more just look at the stat line not why the INT's happened, etc... but, my optimism about Darnold has taken a downward turn. I hope he can get it done, but lately he's given more reason to question rather than trust fully.

Those INT's last night were inexcusable. Sherm said it before the game that Darnold doesn't need to try to force things trying to be a hero. It hurts the team. Hopefully not so much they can't overcome, but he's put the team in bad positions they didn't need to be in.

He's our QB and I'm rooting for him for now. But, I want what's best for the team and endorse competition. Grateful we have Darnold for now. Wish he took better care of the ball. But, if there's even conversation that position could be upgraded, that's football.

Like yeah, Darnold has the very best offensive line in the NFL lol.
Fact is, virtually ALL Quarterbacks find themselves in that position from time to time, the good ones don't quit.
Down 15+ with 7 minutes to play, and you have this kind of TEAM comeback to win.

The team played better after LA went to prevent D in the fourth. Even at the time I didn't understand why but hey if they're dumb enough to do so I'll take it. Up to that point Hawks offense couldn't do Jack. Darnold has been a back up for a reason. Like Geno he does just enough to keep him employed but its time to draft a QB.
