I dont know man, I think there is too many factors when the game was essentially "over" in the first quater
Play calling / player mentality have to be considered.
The fact that the Hawks are smashing teams like they are now, means that they are top tier
Exactly which teams we are smashing has to be a consideration when assessing future prospects. Next week will be a real barometer reading.

When Jones returns, I would insert Knight back next to him, he looks like he’s found himself. Thomas is a good backup, but does get ran over at times.
"Thomas has now started each of the last six games for Seattle, recording 39 total tackles with eight for a loss, six passes defended and three sacks in the process. The linebacker has posted a tackle for a loss in each of his six starts as he has found a way to impact the game each time he hits the field with the team’s first-string defense."

I think Thomas is excelling. If you have a vid of him getting bulldozed, feel free to share. Ironically, Knight's inability to make tackles appeared to be the reason for his demotion earlier this year.

Drake Thomas layin' the BOOM

LB Drake Thomas continues to impress as starter for Seattle Seahawks

How many 4th and goals did they stop? Usually I like when we have the ball, but this defense is so fun I like watching them more.

Lawrence described those fumble returns as a play, like we don’t just play defense, we run designed defensive plays that give us the ball…

The quoted article kind if glossed over what I thought was the most incredible sequences of the game:

In 4-down offense, the Seahawks stuffed 15 out of 16 goal line plays. None were offensive mistakes. Brisett was throwing darts, on target, and we were disrupting everything. I lost track of how many PBUs there were, 10? 12?

Keep in mind that the game was already settled and it didn’t really matter if AZ scored or not. This defense just simply wasn’t going to let them score.

It was beautiful.

We can disagree on Darnold. He's one hell of a player. And you could also argue that 2 of those turnovers were not on him.
They just got done winning by 24 and 22. Not sure what else you guys want. Other than 50-0 wins with 4 quarters of perfection.

EXACTLY what I said would happen has happened. Hawks win in a blowout; they give up some short fields and the game SEEMS to be closer than it was. Followed by people losing their minds (to a point)

Win by 1, win by 22, all counts the same. Perfection is not realistic on the football field. I just have a hard time understanding not being stoked about a 7-2 team who has controlled MOST of the games they have won. This team is going to lose some more games. And I suspect the jump off the bridge crowd will be right here for it. I'm here for it, win or lose. Everyone deals with it their own way. At least we're talking about a 7-2 team and not a team sitting at 5-4 or 4-5.

I guess if you look at football as purely wins and losses week to week, everything is wonderful. Ask the Vikings fans and they will tell you that's exactly how they felt last year. Until they didnt.

This is as simple as understanding you can be thrilled your team is 7-2, analyze how and why they are 7-2 AND still be concerned that we have been fortunate to have high turnover games against poor teams and get away with it.. AND see an alarming trend where we have one of the better o-lines in the league in pass pro but have a QB who gives the ball away at a rate better than once a game and often in the most unfortunate situations.

I dont see anyone losing their minds. I do see people pointing to the very obvious trend now of letting teams stick around because we do dumb stuff. If you are asking me what i want? It would be great if Sam could win the MVP. Thats not the bar by any means but its possible given the start he has had. But he wont if he keeps on finding himself in these 'not his fault' situations over and over again. At a certain point logic dictates that there's something else that is in his control that he could be doing. To put it on the o line when they are playing as well as they are and say 'they just need to do better' seems misguided. I would also like to see us win some playoff games this year. 7-2 is great. Winning by 20 is great. But the entire season is preparation for the post season. At the end of the day, how much we beat the cardinals by wont matter if we lose to the 'insert team' in the wildcard round. But winning in the post season is also there for the taking given how we have played, but that also isnt going to happen if we cant clean up some very obvious errors.

Winning, being pleased about it AND critical to see how one can improve is a model for success. Winning and simply being happy to have won is exactly how you stop winning.

Hey, see it how you want, I'll see it how I want. No wrong and right here. Also, how happy FANS are about a win has zero impact on the team. We don't have that type of power. If you want to apologize for a win, please do. Just not how I roll. I think I've said my peace on this subject.

Go Hawks
7-2

Nobody smashes other top tier teams. This is the NFL

Great teams smash lower competition. Like the hawks are doing

They are a top 6 NFL team (at a minimum). We don't need to win next week to prove we belong in that group

Plus next week is just the first game of a best of three. The third round will be the NFCCG.

You are so not wrong. Cause I remember how I felt when we played the Vikings last year. I was not worried about Sam Darnold. We lost, but we coulda won that game. I’m not too familiar with how good that Vikings defense was but hopefully no matter how great Sam and JSN look the truth about this team is the Deathzone Defense

Do we have a lot of turnovers because we are fortunate?

I’d like to think it’s cause we’re bad asses

Darnold better get those bone headed plays out o his system. Come playoff time and this continues, WE WILL be eliminated in the 1st round.
I heard Dave Portnoy say just this morning, that the Rams are the team because Sam Darnold can’t win a playoff game.

Not that I care about what he has to say but he’s not the only guy that questions Sam’s “playoff” abilities.

I’m hoping all of the noise gets drowned out this season.
