As you alluded to in you first statement - I think it was the glimpses of what he "could" be that caused the issue. Every so often he would high point a ball using his size and actively snatch a ball away from a defender a la Megatron. So we, as fans, would see that and want him to be that guy all the time. Which he simply was not.

He was and is a very good receiver but like others have mentioned, not worth paying the price the market deemed.

He will always be one of my favorite Seahawks.

I don't think he was a very good WR, a little above average for all that he
could be..
He's already being pointed for causing an interception by slowing down on his
route last week, the same stuff he did here.
I'm happy he's gone, love watching JSN and have no complaints.

I think most people were just frustrated at his route running and inability to use his size on contested catches. Running lazy routes resulting in picks when the game is on the line sure gives a bad look.
Exactly how I feel and see it.

I'm just enjoying the locker room cancer distraction free season. Drama Free trumps everything else IMO.

Could care less what color hair or WR room is sporting this week :)

Buh Bye .... um.... what was your name again? yea.... Dennis Rodman Jr.

And TBH, I hadn't thought of him at all lately until this thread......
Not a single player, coach, or team anything has ever even hinted at DK being a "locker room cancer distraction". Hell, he has been commended a number of times for being a great teammate.

DK was great for us. He never reached what we thought he could. His best highlight will always be running Budda down, as a defender! I got tired of all the drops and other things. So glad to have JSN instead. You get it near him and he catches it. You can't say that about DK.

I was in the camp of "not sure about jsn" start of the year
I was wrong, and it has been so cool this year watching him and Darnold lighting it up.

How in the world could someone not be sure about JSN? WOW

didn’t mind DK being a Seahawk

What I did mind was giving a WR top ten money when he was not a top ten WR which is exactly what we would of had to do to keep him

Now Smith Ngigba is a top five WR.

The money we saved on DK can be used to sign Smith Ngigba to an extension

Maybe not in the locker room but he was sure a distraction on the field. Dont miss that at all.

It looks like DK is having a pretty underwhelming season so far. Certainly not worth the money he's making. I'm already seeing Stealers fans saying things like, "I feel like he should be a lot better than this." LOL. Been there, done that.
