Here, Russ has ditched the Me3 Brand for the crucifix he didn’t wear while promoting it.

As a wilsonogist of many years, I give him credit for not pimping out his personal clothing line as he has since Seattle. The crucifix he is wearing isn’t trademarkable. Maybe he’s finally figured out that he himself isnt marketable. Neither is Ciara.

Hat-tip to Wilson for making efforts to keep his name in circulation. He will be posting pics and videos even if he is meditating deep in the Himalayas, praising his God, sitting in a Tibetan temple surrounded by monks.

John Elway bought a large chain of car lots after he retired. It seems like that might be best case scenario for RCW. I literally can't think of another option that has the possibility to turn out well for him.

He's getting 10 mil this yr...which isn't peanuts. But about half is eaten by tax in NY and then agent fees on top. He's got his own coaches and trainers. He's got rent wherever he's living and travel. Of course then all the other expenses that are ridiculous- jewelry, clothes, shoes, tickets to BBall.... It wouldn't be surprising if he's at about even for the season. At some point, it's more lucrative to focus on the next thing instead of continuing to spend money failing at the NFL. If he were my son, I'd encourage him to un-brand and get some unselfish/humble/honest press and quietly retire at the end of the season.

While I don’t think he will have to worry about paying his mortgage or bills anytime soon, it’s a good point about overhead you bring up. We humans tend to spend to our limits. Some, like Beast Mode, are incredibly savvy with their finances.

I’m not so sure Russ is.

Don’t forget his wife earns a good amount as well. He will never have money issues.

Ugh…why does he make everything about him? Every. Single. Time.

He makes such a big deal about the Children’s Hospital visits, which I think is great…but exactly who are the cameras for? Not there for the kids or their families, or the hospital staff…borderline pathetic at this stage.

He could found a megachurch. Lucrative if it catches on.

He’s already on the board of churchome, founded in Seattle. It was sued two years ago for making workers give back 10 percent of their earnings as a tithe.

Church should have 20 mil from Russ alone on that. Justin Bieber is a member too.

Would you buy a used car from Russell?

The Russell Wilson brand has flopped since football bread rolls. And then there was Dangerwich. Then there were those perfume ads marketed so the user could imagine the smell in their bedroom. The only time 3Brand clothing comes to mind is when Ciara shows up nearly nude at an Oscar party and you wonder where her clothes are.

His individual brand is non marketable and Ciara just makes it worse.

Russ would fail at podcasting let alone network. He is worse than unentertaining. He inspires the same reaction you get when you click on home shopping network. He’s not getting offers to join Amazon or ESPN, that’s for sure. And hes not starting the next New Heights with Ciara, either.

So that would leave coaching, except that the first rule of as an offensive player is to read the defense. Im not sure Russ could explain it to a 5 year old as that would require understanding it yourself.

A bunch of 49ers from the 1990s started their own private equity group and were early investors in legal pot. Maybe that’s the answer, not necessarily pot but investing with others of similar background whom you trust and who trusts you. But then again, who does?

Russ is in a pickle.

In his defense, when he was in Seattle, he was at Children's Hospital far more often than was publicly broadcast. He did do photo ops there, but only on a fraction of the times that he visited
