I thought that last year about the Giants. So it CAN happen, but I would be pretty dumbfounded if it did, and I would start believing somebody placed some serious voodoo on our homefield advantage over the past few years.

I hear ya. Let's not think about that.

We will either lose a close game somehow (Giants last season) or totally obliterate the saints (and lose the blueprints as to how we did it forever)
I don't see a blowout. There's a ton off talent on the Saints roster, but quite a few of them are still young. One thing they have done is play hard, but losing because of a dropped pass here and an untimely penalty there. They are playing under totally new offensive and defensive schemes and that always takes a little adjustment especially under all of the new CBA practice rules.

I was wrong last week!

After starting my popular “Premature Fire Macdonald thread” and then sharing a long narrative about how the Seahawks would lose to the almighty Stealers, I was happy to look like a fool on Seahawks.net yet again.

However, my doom and gloom prediction will come true this week.

The Seahawks can’t seem to get out of their own way at home, struggling to find any success in front of a majority Saints fan base in Seattle. The 12s yet again sell out, allowing our stadium to be taken over, hurting the Seahawks’ players feelings.

Spencer Rattler looks like Drew Brees in this game, eclipsing 100 yards with ease. The O line gets dominated by Cameron Jordan, and Sam Darnold turns into a turnover machine (I did accurately predict Darnold tossing 2 interceptions in the Stealers game, mm thanks).

Alvin Kamara turns back the clocks and does it all in a humiliating home defeat. Some 12s wonder if Lumen Field has become cursed with bad voodoo.

Saints 23
Seahawks 13

RTD 1-1
Is this one of those reverse good luck things, like saying "break a leg"? Or have you gone full Charlie Brown, glass more than half empty, dark cloud pessimistic, @Jerhawk?

I think that often the discussion on this forum is not about football at all, but about competing philosophies of life. The facts are usually not in dispute, but our emotional reactions to what just happened are very different.

1 and 1.
Last week I said like 37 to 9. Watching this defense, I don't think they can shut down anyone yet. My boy Nick I coveted in the draft could play along with Witherspoon. I predict some splash plays on defense. Offensively, I predict another week of growth. Maybe some of the negative yardage plays near the line of scrimmage get reduced. Like K9 and Charbs can coexist at the same time. Loved me some Barner and Arroyo last week. Outz Outz Outz!

Lmao. Yes, I forgot to say that in my week 1 prediction thread: I will always pick against the Seahawks as a form of reverse psychology. The more outrageous my prediction, the better I hope the team performs.

We won’t be gifted a TD this week and the score will be close. I think Cooper Kupp shows flashbacks of his former self and catches a TD pass in the 4th to clinch a close game.

28 -13 Seahawks all day. Shut out by the defense in the second half.

Don't agree with the score as I think the Steelers have (had?) a better defense than the Saints (I think we score at least 27).

But I do agree it will be close...as close as a 27-10 final can be. BOOM!

My actual prediction (though) :

Hawks 38
Aints 20

Much to the Defense's disappointment, they fail to keep the opposing team under 20 points for the first time this season. (Gosh Darnit!)

But in all seriousness, the Defense continues to roll and the Offense gets even better as Darnold throws several TDs to JSN and Kupp (maybe another to Horton or Arroyo gets his first) and K9/Charbs deliver a couple of TDs on the ground.

I hope you're right. I just don't understand why whoever it is that picks the "Start 'em/ Sit 'em" on NFL Network says to SIT Darnold.

Because of the tired old "Ghosts" thing.

I imagine they would have him "SIT" even if Sam had thrown 12 TDs in the two games (6 TDs in each).

It's a goddamn narrative that won't ever go away all because NFL Films f*cked Sam Darnold over by actually AIRING that sh*t on LIVE TV.

I've long since stopped paying attention to those lazy f*cks that cling to narratives established over 5 years ago instead of looking at what is happening right NOW.

The 1st half will be close but the Hawks will roll in the 2nd half and shut the Saints down 31-13 for the home team.

LOL. Keep trying. You are bound to get one right sooner or later. Meanwhile I will keep adding to your pile of carrion (crow) so you will enjoy eating your fill at season's end. LOL

Okay, @AROS . I know I put up my prediction but here's a SIMMED Prediction I got on the first try :

Screenshot 2025 09 20 at 16 34 08 Super SimulatorReceivers and KickerScreenshot 2025 09 20 at 16 35 15 Super Simulator Defensive

Only thing I disagree with is the amount of Targets that JSN gets (and I think he catches at least 1 TD pass tomorrow).

Other than that, I'd sign up for this every day of the week.

(btw, for those that want to see the sim I used for this, go here : https://supersimnfl.com/ )
