Coming off a game against the Titans that everybody outside of the Titans organization thought the final score was way closer than it ever had any right in being, it just goes to show there are no easy outs, no gimees in the NFL.

With that said, another matchup looms that the Seahawks should win. The Vikings are struggling this year and their starting QB is likely out due to concussion protocol. In year's past, backup QBs have been our kryptonite. But everything I've read so far about him tells me this will be too good a defense, too tough an environment to thrive. Don't play down to your opponent and everything else should fall into place.

Sam will need extra security detail after the game so the Vikings don't kidnap him and make him their starter again, lol!

Aros' Fearless Prediction: Seahawks 28 - Vikings 13

The Vikings are better than 4-7. They had a solid roster and went 14-3 last year and then signed a bunch of free agents for the Super Bowl push this year. Their main problem is the QB position.

But the Vikings are not to be taken lightly. They're tough on defense and have a lot of playmakers on offense. Brosmer is the wild card, and I've got to believe he's going to be better than JJ McCarthy because, frankly, he couldn't be worse.

I think it's going to be a close game and the Seahawks eke it out, 20-17.

(Season record, 6-3)

The spread is Seattle -11.5. I don't expect the Hawks to cover.

Minny's 3rd string qb starts and by the end of the 1st quarter has a panic attack and hides in a portable toilet in the parking lot. With everyone else refusing to take over at qb, the Vikings are forced to play Grimmace from a local McDonalds. He actually plays better than McCarthy and starts the rest of the season.

I saw Deep Purple on their final tour at the Paramount. I hope they made money on my 37 dollar doubles.

Purple People Eaters need to fire some one because they thought franchise quarterbacks grow on trees.

This grave error continues to reveal itself as the Seahawks go deep and then become Perfect Strangers running the second half way.

Given the vikings QB situation. I would say we win by 20+, but after that Titans game I think this is a bit closer...

Hawks - 24
Vikings - 14

(A garbage time TD for the vikings)

I get Ruskell f’d the Hutch deal, but I’ve always resented Minnys unethical poison pill. The Purp PPL Eaters have been my most despised since.

The rookie QB’s gonna want his mama by halftime.

38-0 Hawks

This win also nets me $110 on a $50 bet (over 8.5 wins).

Shoulda wagered $500…but I’m not really a gambler.

My Hawks NFC and SB champs still in play. ~ $6500 net.

23-6, Seattle's defense gets on track and rhe run game keeps poinding the rock effectively. Darnold plays a nice game and ignites a streak of good play that carries this team into the playoffs on a hot streak.

Last week the Hawks failed to cover the 13.5 point spread, this week the spread they will have to cover is 11.5 points. Lots of handwringing about not winning by enough against the Titans. I suspect the team will again give up points late but they’ll cover 31-17.

However even if they don’t cover I’m happy with a W.

Go HAWKS!!!

The NFC playoff picture is really tightening up. We've got to win these next two games against the Vikes and the Falcons. We should win them, but in the overall scheme of things, we can't take these games lightly. The Colts, Rams, and 9ers could all be formidable contests to win with all sorts of playoff implications. We could lose all three, or lose two of them, or at least one of them. We can't afford to lose to the likes of the Vikes, Falcons, or Panthers.

Remember, we've lost ALL THREE of our most difficult challenges so far this year, against the 9ers, Bucs, and Rams. We're all seemingly banking on the idea that we're suddenly going to start beating all of our most formidable opponents, that Sam is suddenly going to get ice water in his veins and take them down.

The truth is we don't know yet. We don't know if we can beat our most challenging opponents yet, that Sam can step up in these big games yet. We haven't seen it yet. That's the truth.

This is absolutely true. However, my anxiety isn't as deep compared to years past with this team. Palpatation Pete took years of thousands of peoples lives. Yep, they could $hit the bed, but I don't think MacDaddy lets that happen.

Those three games were very tightly contested. The margins of defeat were very small. As a developing team, we are getting better. The Rams game we played it perfectly in some aspects on D, Time of possession and imposing our will on the Rams The Bucs couldn't do it and got smoked as for us we are still growing

True. I appreciate the narrative/spin. But the fact of the matter is we haven't done it yet, didn't really do it last year either. The real good teams win those close games against playoff caliber teams. We tend to lose them so far. At some point you've got to start doing it. We'll have our chances to do so not far ahead.
