Damn. Just like that, it’s over for Grubb.

I can’t say I’m surprised.

Grubb, will go back to college football.

We’ll see where Seattle goes.

There were a few posters here who insisted "he's not going anywhere." Given MM's history with the Harbaugh brothers, I still have no idea how they came to that conclusion. It was oil and water.

How anyone thought that Sh!+ show he was pedaling was NFL worthy, i dont know.

Geno has balled out considering the crap for offensive coordinator and O line coach he has had to play under. To lead the league in ANY positive stat category, let alone several, including accuracy and on target throws in an offense tha was DOA is remarkable.

Shoot, if i'm Geno, i wait to see who the nest guy is gonna be before i even want to sign in Seattle.

Thank you Geno. Thank you John. Thank you Mike.

As bad as Grubbs is as an overall OC, his passing scheme seems pretty legit. I honestly think his scheme would look great with a top 5 traditional pocket passing qb. His running scheme is god awful though.

-- Team sources say management was furious that he helped Smith get all three bonuses.

-- I am a big believer in accepting that we don't know what is said, done or demanded behind closed doors.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a troll or not.

JSN is an extremely talented player we used a first rounder on for a reason. He was primed for a breakout regardless of who the OC was.

Possible he played into Barner's unexpectedly great rookie season, but I can't think of anyone else in the offense that really exceeded expectations.

-- This definitely changes my mindset. Despite my less than glowing appraisal of Geno, I did think that if Grubb stays, we need a veteran QB, so Geno might still be the best option available. However, if we are going new OC, (might also request an eval on our QB coach), we very well might go young at QB. Definitely and quick start to the offseason changes.

The play designs were great. Him as an NFL OC? He could have Joe Montana in his prime and the offense would suck. He was aweful situationally. He zigged when he should have zagged, had patterns that put wrs in the same area repeatedly, and his compressed field plays sucked.

We were kast in the league in rushing attempts, last in play action, last in motion, last in shotgun sets = predictable. Sadly so.

That, and the dude lacked any self awareness. There was just an article written on how he seemed to admit to learning little over the course of the season.

The tape doesnt lie and it can be evaluated in a vacuum without even considering qb play.

Grubb is a college OC.

Glad he is gone.

I figured it was 50/50 whether Grubb got a second year or not. He did some good things, but his red zone scheming was god-awful. Can't say I'm surprised by this.

What this shows, like his linebacker moves, is that Mike recovers from his mistakes and pivots quickly instead of sticking to them as a matter of pride. That's a very promising quality.
