I'm reminded by the story of Lynch when he finally broke through as a runner for the Seahawks:Amazing what happens when the O line opens holes for the back. At that MIMIMUM, this is a great thing for this team. We have 2 capable backs. One goes down, we keep rolling.
Once you get in and through the line of scrimmage, then do your thing. You can do all the craziness you want then. But you’ve got to do it this way from A to B. And he bought in from A to B. And after that, what you do from C on is you.”
It’s the back and his blocker working in unison by reading things the same way. What a concept.
“It’s all about, ‘This is what they’re blocking in front of you.’ So you’ve got to understand what they’re trying to do in order for where you fit,” Cable said.
Per ESPN Research, Zach Charbonnet had 91 rushing yards after contact vs. Arizona, the most by a player in a game this season. Charbonnet finished with 134 rushing yards and two TDs on 22 carries. He added 59 receiving yards for the most productive game of his two-year career.
Honestly, the way KMac played, we’ve got three competent backs. I feel good about all of them.Amazing what happens when the O line opens holes for the back. At that MIMIMUM, this is a great thing for this team. We have 2 capable backs. One goes down, we keep rolling.
That is called making adjustments, and is a sign Grubb is coming around on his end of the bargain. We're simply coming together as a TEAM. That is the most important part of becoming consistent winners.I’ve never seen the OL pulling as much as they did today. Looked like the old Hogs from the Redskins.
Why not?Yeah, no.
One game? I hope it continues to be difficult IF Walker is out. But absolutely a good problem to have. It's sports, this guy is better than that guy, this guy should start etc. Pretty common when talking sports. At least we're talking about a 1st Place team with a 4-game winning streak
As far as long TD runs, K9 has had several in his time here. Shoot, he was the closer. Game on the line, he'd go 70 plus. If he was playing yesterday, he would have had ridiculous numbers, imo.
Come on man, you don't know that Walker wouldn't have had ridiculous numbers. There's no way you can prove that he wouldn't. Just like there's no way for me to prove he would.Disagree, his 74 came 2 yrs ago and since then he’s struggled. If he ran yesterday he wouldn’t have had ridiculous numbers either, he would be dancing around too damn much. To add him and Charbs the game before ran behind the same oline that was out there today. No excuses Walker simply isn’t getting it done when needed and spending too much time dancing and missing holes, ignoring holes, seeking contact, and trying to juke.
