Yesterday was the most scrimmage yards in a game by a Seahawks RB since Rawls put up 200+ against SF in 2015.
Even Lynch never put up those kind of numbers and you have to back to the Shaun Alexander days for the next time after that.

Amazing what happens when the O line opens holes for the back. At that MIMIMUM, this is a great thing for this team. We have 2 capable backs. One goes down, we keep rolling.

I’ve never seen the OL pulling as much as they did today. Looked like the old Hogs from the Redskins.

His first season (2010) and half of 2011, he had that big play break tackle ability, but for the most part wasn't meeting expectations. It took a change in behaviour and trust in the system before he finally broke out.
While obviously theres no proof, KWIII gives to me the same indicators of skittishness behind the line, a lack of trust in the blocking and changing directions to find the hole - many backs do the same so I won't hold it against him. But sometime you have to trust the system even if it's only going to give you 2 or 3 yards. Charbonnet has a much bigger frame and probably fancies himself better in a 1-on-1 than Walker does, so you see him hit the hole as intended. Walker on the other hand is much more reticent running between the tackles. Walker had 16 carries against this same Cardinals defense 2 weeks ago and put up just 44 yards. Even if the run blocking was better this time around that is still a MASSIVE difference.

I'm not ready to say Charbs is better than K9. Just my own opinion. I've seen what K9 can do, he's damn good. One great game doesn't make a great back. And I'm stoked he had a great game. To each his/her own. It's all opinion anyway, and I stick to mine. Shoot, I want them to both be beasts. Again, that's a very good thing.
It's just odd how quickly people want to move on from guys who have shown how damn good they are. All after one big performance by the backup. Just odd TO ME.

I know after this game I should go back and deleting posts I made about Charbs over the last few weeks
Couldn't get enough of watching the long TD run and noticed something on one of my re-watches last night. They faked bubble screen action to the WR to the left with 2 receivers out front acting like they were blocking. That froze the defenders to that side that could have helped open things up for the big play. Maybe we had been running off that action all year but that play was the first time I noticed it.

This could make naming Walker the starter going forward a bit more difficult.

One game? I hope it continues to be difficult IF Walker is out. But absolutely a good problem to have. It's sports, this guy is better than that guy, this guy should start etc. Pretty common when talking sports. At least we're talking about a 1st Place team with a 4-game winning streak
As far as long TD runs, K9 has had several in his time here. Shoot, he was the closer. Game on the line, he'd go 70 plus. If he was playing yesterday, he would have had ridiculous numbers, imo.

He also did damage against a defense that's been pretty good against the run this year. The week before, the Cardinals held the Vikings to 68 yards a week ago.

That is called making adjustments, and is a sign Grubb is coming around on his end of the bargain. We're simply coming together as a TEAM. That is the most important part of becoming consistent winners.

Disagree, his 74 came 2 yrs ago and since then he’s struggled. If he ran yesterday he wouldn’t have had ridiculous numbers either, he would be dancing around too damn much. To add him and Charbs the game before ran behind the same oline that was out there today. No excuses Walker simply isn’t getting it done when needed and spending too much time dancing and missing holes, ignoring holes, seeking contact, and trying to juke.
Let the 2.5-year era of injury-riddled glimpses at greatest for Charbonnet begin? Been here A LOT since Lynch moved on.
I'm eating a little crow today. I was not sold on him but when given the chance, he looked amazing.

Come on man, you don't know that Walker wouldn't have had ridiculous numbers. There's no way you can prove that he wouldn't. Just like there's no way for me to prove he would.
My opinion holds no ground? Not trying to argue. But you're telling me that he wouldn't have great numbers, as if it's fact. It's an opinion, just like mine. That's still allowed right? True football talk is opinions on both sides.
