Dumbass coaching decisions by Grubb and Mac. Mac is not a good head coach and Grubbs is an ass OC. Both should be gone at the end of the year.

That we were going to get stuffed on fourth and short in overtime? It was so obvious. Why give to K9 the ball there with THIS line?! Unbelievably stupid.
Yea it was obvious. My money says Mike followed some kind of logic in his brain that went something like this:

We need a spark to get this teams confidence going. What better way than to physically impose our will to get the 4th and 1 and beat them in their faces.

Yea, that might make sense if we had....you know....actually talented offensive line players.

Pure ego and to prove a point. You know, thinking about it, most coaches do a QB sneak. How many times did Brady do that? Fall over and get a yard. Our coaching is awful right now, and so is JS.

Too much dancing around looking for a hole. Hit the pile hard and get the push, or have Geno pull it down and grab a couple

Running is fine, IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A DECENT RUN GAME PLAYBOOK TO WORK FROM.

If we ever ran a pitch, there would be more room to run between the tackles.

If we ever ran a toss, we could have run a bootleg keeper.

If we had variety in our rush attack, the D having to account for 2 or 3 possibilities out of a given set woukd give our o line a schematic advantage...we could show looks that would keep the D line honest rather than allowing them to just blast off the line whenever they smell a run.

The O line isnt as bad as it looks. Our run game is just predictable as F.

Center is so bad that wouldn’t work. Team can’t get an inch of it was to win the SB. It’s ok. Lose out. Get rid of the talent that could get draft capital. And start over. Also think John needs to go. He can’t draft offensive lineman to save his ass. And grubb should be let go after this year.

Why not run.the play with the fullback that worked earlier?
Even that was tight.

So make redzone possessions this past week with very few points to show for it - including those within the 5

Has to be better.

I don't mind going for it on 4th and would generally lean in that direction, but you have to factor in the game

They were a long way from that sealing TD, they've been really bad at punching it in, the rams were winning the LOS against the offense and earlier in the game they converted this situation and didn't get the TD.

It's OT - if you can get the lead, do it - that will change the game a bit for the defense as well

I’m so sick of JS. I just made a post in another thread. Grubb should go to Alabama. I guess his offense works when you have the better talent.

Lesser of two evils with Geno guaranteed to throw an interception or get sacked 🤔

This is true, but our offensive line is bad at getting push. Would more creative play calling help? Yeah, but some situations call for your O-line to just get some push and ours routinely fails in that situation.

So, yeah, they aren't as bad as they look in some aspects but definitely as bad as they look in others.

Which is why it's straight up coaching malpractice to continually put them into those situations. There should have been no reason whatsoever to decide to go for it there on 4th and 1. None. Macdonald has seen our results more than enough to know that.

He threw 3Tds... or did Howell do that? If he was guaranteed to throw an INt the game is 26 - 0.

That said... they were unforced errors. Game losing errors. But he kept us in it and tied it.

Going for it on the ground on 4th down in overtime? I thought when McVay called the TO that Mac might change his mind. Nope.

Keeper woukd have been fine. Getting Geno outside on a boot would have been fine.

An inside handoff to the FB woukd have been fine.

A PA pass from under center to a TE or White, who balled out of nowehere... anything.

Or just kick the FG.

Forget the result of that 4th down call, if we would've known what the playcall was gonna be, I'm sure all of us here would have agreed that they should've went for the FG. Until I saw what the playcall was, I was on board with going for it, I just wanted them to end the game and not give L.A a chance. Sucks that such a promising drive ends because they just couldn't get 1 freakin' yard!

I don’t run an outside run on 4th and short for sure. Play action? QB sneak? I have less of a problem with going for it than the play call itself.

I personally kick the fg, but going for it isn’t so disastrously bad considering you still lose on a touchdown.
