Not sure if we will, but if we do trade DK, who will take over his snaps?

Bobo? Another tall WR but a lot slower than DK.

JSN? Didn't have the size or speed.

Young?

Like I mentioned in another thread. He should have had 2 long TD's, and was a toe length away from a 3rd. While it seemed like a crap game, it's not his fault there was a penalty at the line on one TD. Or, that Geno under threw him by 5 plus yards on what was going to be an easy long TD.

But I guess the question is who should get his snaps, not replace him, I don’t think we have someone because DK is target number one. Tyler is good but he’s not the size threat, same with JSN. And I can’t see Bobo being target #1, or Barner for that matter. I guess Tyler Lockett should get his snaps and the depth chart would just shift up one. Jsn probably still the slot and Bobo probably the x-style receiver but not number 1. Kinda backwards but Bobo’s strength is not speed. I say keep DK

Everyone seems to be forgetting how tough it was when we didn't have a true #1. Worse, how long it took for us to find one.

DK doesn't have great hands. He shouldn't be catching balls over the middle. It doesn't mean he doesn't have tremendous value for this team or that he would be easily replaced.
(Replacing him with Bobo is crazy...Bobo is not a true #1)

Great points.. Also imagine our predicament if we trade DK and then Lockett retires.

DK is a Ferrari that Pete wouldn't let go faster than 5mph. Now Mike is flooring this machine after sitting for years...things are going to break.

When warmed up properly and handled correctly DK should be at 200 yards a game...YOU CAN'T REPLACE THAT!

You can't draft or trade for that with accuracy and you sure can't find it on our sidelines.

DK is going nowhere!

There isnt anyone on the team that can step in DKs spot . The other starters + Bobo have entirely different skillsets.

You'd have to hope Young could do something there, or trade DK for a cheaper WR who has great speed and hands.

Obviously DK could play better. The guy should be approaching Calvin Johnson status at this point and he just flat out isn't. That said, he's still a ridiculous WR that you don't just trade unless there's a damned good reason. I'd rather not even speculate.

Calvin had Matthew Stanford throwing to him and what good did it do the lions…

We have two wide receivers with great speed and hands. Not many receivers can make one handed blocks that I’ve ever seen

Therein lies the answer. We should trade for... Cooper Kupp! Stafford and the Rams got a Super Bowl out of throwing to Cooper Kupp.

Seriously, DK is our true deep threat that keeps defenses honest. This improves our (struggling?) run game. Plus DK also helps the run game with his willingness to block. Just needs to learn to not get called for holding penalties. Bobo is an excellent blocker too, I've gathered. But not the deep threat that DK is.

The Steelers probably wouldn't trade us George Pickens Jr., and other receivers with DK-like capabilities would be too costly to acquire. Seattle has historically done well at developing WRs. Our best hope might be to get lucky in the draft again and trade DK when his heir apparent is with the team.

What other NFL WRs could replace even 90% of what DK gives us? Deep threat, run game blocking, physical dominance, attitude, etc.
Help me out here, I'm drawing a blank. The JSN receiver class had some terrific receivers, but they're more small, speedy guys, like Jordan Addison, Zay Flowers, etc.
DK is a poor man's Calvin Johnson or Julio Jones. (DK should be more dominant than he is on contested balls, IMO) Either of those guys, in their prime, would have been an upgrade. Who in the league would be an upgrade now? Marvin Harrison Jr?

Or keep Dk since he’s already here and there’s no option like him. I am not in the trade dk camp. I was just saying that all the yards that Calvin Johnson got didn’t add up to post season success and I only brought that up because comments have been made of DK not being as good as Calvin. I think the run game and power football on both sides of the line of scrimmage is better than record breaking yardage from one guy

There's only a few, but you're not going to get those trades. Which is why I wouldn't trade him unless there was a reason we had to.
