Anyone who thinks failings aren’t really on the manager needs to look at the end of last nights game… you put in a guy who is struggling mightily in a pinch hit situation like that. A guy who has vocally said he is affected by fan death threats against him. He is clearly in a bad place mentally and you magnify the situation by putting him in at the end of the game???
Baffling move by Scott..
Servais replaces Luke Raiey with Mitch Garver in the 9th as a pinch hitter b/c of the Left pitcher righty batter matchup.
Is this reason correct?
You folks know more than I do.

Great stats. I posted this earlier but i suck at links. So thank u.That video is a great example of someone ignoring facts and stats in favor of feelings and opinions.
Here are their splits against lefties since July 1st.

So yeah, I hated the decision to PH Garver in that situation also because of how badly he's struggling, but you sure as shit can't leave Raley in there.
What do you think had a bigger impact on the outcome of the game? The fact that the M's scored 1 run in the first 8 2/3rds innings of the game, or pinch hitting Garver for a guy hitting .056 against lefties over the past 5 weeks?
The offense just isn't good enough. You're not going to win many games scoring only 1 or 2 runs and hoping for a miracle with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th.
The team sucked this evening... all the way around.
Bad choices by Servais for who pitched in relief. Two straight walks to lead off the top of the 8th were doomed. That's where the game was lost.... pathetic!
I'm asking not babbling.Do you know stats? Do you know the stats for Raley vs LHP since July 1 compared to Garver? Or u just blabbing.
For whatever reason baseball managers/coaches get the least blame in all the sports.
The rebuild started in 2019 I haven't seen anything offensively speaking . No development. No nothing. Just dudes leaving for other teams or playing like crap . This coaching staff needs a line up full of veteran players who already know how to play the game because THIS STAFF DOESN'T DEVELOP. I'm worried honestly. This staff is going to develop our young hitting farm? It's laughable. Servais has no feel for the game can't read players or identify momentum and rarely wins gut feeling calls. Everything is about match ups and analytics with these dudes. No actual reading and knowing your players. Every player is a robot that gets plugged into a different spot in the line up every day. There's nothing going on. It's boring to watch. If they miss the playoffs clean the entire coaching staff. Everyone. Outta here.
An article below. Your thoughts?

Mariners Fans Couldn't Believe Manager Scott Servais in Latest Loss, Question Him on X
The Seattle Mariners lost to the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night, 4-2, at T-Mobile Park. The loss dropped the Mariners to 59-55 on the year and puts them at juswww.si.com
Highlighted - We have the pitching and D to go all the way but not enough hitters.Yeah, I hardly ever see Servais getting blamed for anything.![]()
That's hilarious, man. Thanks for the laugh.
Right on. Like I said, I'm down for that at this point. Clean house from Servais all the way down through the entire coaching staff.
But also like I said, I think you're probably going to see similar results unless you get better players.
Does anyone really believe the lineup Servais had to work with the vast majority of the season would be significantly better if only they had a different manager and coaches?
Does anyone really believe that teams like the O's, Yankees, Dodgers, Royals, etc. have offenses that are so much better than ours merely due to having a superior manager and coaches? Or could it be that the reason they're so much better is that they simply have much better players?
I know, I know, "it's both" is the easy cop out, but what do you think is the biggest factor?
