Geno Isn't the Guy. Sad to Say (Main)

One start I heard yesterday that surprised me. Geno is one of the top QBs statistically playing against zone, but near the bottom vs man. This was brought up cause the Browns play a lot of man coverage.
It surprised me. I would have thought man might be easier in less to read where the open guys area. Or is it harder cause rather than the zone dictating where you guy right away in man you have to wait and see who has beat their guy? It would surprise me if with their talent our guys aren't getting open in man coverage.

Just a piece of info that intrigued me.

This isn't 'Rocket Science', it was BOTH DRIVES---The Drive to take the damned "Lead" is the CAKE & the running up the score to seal the win is just icing on the CAKE.

Doesnt gall me at all, but its pretty laughable. He came back from what? Finally not sucking for a season? Congratulations, a guy finally had a good season after being in the league for an eternity.

Pro-Bowls are a joke. Everybody makes the pro-bowl. Hell, Wilson made it in 2022 and played like crap for Seattle during the season.

Its ok if you love Geno. Your allowed. I see him for what he is and dont expect much from him.

I'd venture to guess that it was some of y'all that were agreeing with all the Geno Doubters, and that he'd be the worst Quarterback in the entire League in the beginning of the season last year, and that the Seahawks would be lucky to win 4 games.
Not only did Geno play good enough to get the Seahawks into the Playoffs last season, he did it WITHOUT a lot of help from the Sputtering Seahawks Defense.
It's ok that you don't like Geno. You're allowed. Just don't expect a whole lot of REASONABLE folks to follow your cynicisms about the guy.

I agree. I have plenty of friends that are fans of other NFL teams and yes I rib them and they rib me. I kind of get a kick out of it and we all enjoy the hard time given to each other.
Some OP's do come off a little too harsh and I can see how a Post can appear Offensive. Remember we all like the game!

Geno won today, but he tried his hardest to lose the game for almost the entire 3rd quarter. If Geno is a top 10 QB currently, then the QB play across the league is pathetic.

Thankfully they still won the game. If he plays average in this game, they blow PJ "Practice Squad" Walker and the Browns out.

Geno Smith isn't the guy. 8 TDs, 6 INTs for the season. He's not worth the money.

They need to find the longterm starter in the upcoming off-season, and a less expensive bridge if necessary in the off-season.

But since we all know Geno isn't the guy. It might be nice to see what they have in Lock and give him a shot. Let him audition to be the bridge at a much lower cost than Geno next season. As it is all too obvious they are drafting a QB of the future in 6 months.
