You know what though ... I get it on the one hand ... BUT, this is hallmark of Super Bowl contending teams. Not a lot of new guys end up making the final roster because of the level of the talent is SO deep across the board.

You see teams where it seems like year in and year out EVERY ONE of their draft choices make the final 53 Man Roster (or most of them make it) ... and I just about guarantee you those teams will be drafting in the Top 10 year ... after year ... after year again.

Yet, every draft season, 98% of this board wants us to keep trading down to accumulate dozens of 4th-6th round picks. There are only so many roster spots.

Jordan Roos looked more comfortable as the snaps rolled by.

I thought swing linemen Jordan Roos and Matt Tobin played well together on the left side in the preseason finale.

That's because it's all a crapshoot and the more picks you have the better shot you find Chris Carson types.

I would agree with that. While there is value in trading UP on draft day to get your guy (and mine from a higher class of blue chip talented athletes) ... there is also value in trading DOWN and accumulating more picks (because of what you just said). Despite all of the evaluation, scouting, film study, etc. in the end, it really IS a crapshoot. I tend to lean towards the latter because if you're doing your homework, you DO find late round gems like a J.R. Sweezy, a Richard Sherman, a Jeremy Lane, a Chris Carson, etc.

I gotta admit, that one was a mild surprise ... BUT, after the Seahawks traded for Richardson, I'd say he became expendable at that point.

Now, will it be Davis Bass ... will it be Cassius Marsh ... or BOTH who end up making this roster? Hmmm ... :hmmmm:

I JUST saw that ... now THAT ONE ... is kind of a shocker. I'm a little surprised they couldn't find a dance partner who was willing to trade even a 6th or 7th Round pick ... BUT, with the market about to be flooded with FA's, it doesn't surprise me they couldn't find a willing trade partner.
