That may be a factor, but as Gregg Bell also points out, Tuba is 31 years old. Take a look at the guys that Schneider and company brought in here during Free Agency. In the vast majority of cases (in fact, it may be true of EVERY ONE of them) -- all young (24, 25, 26, etc.). None of them 30 years old+ IIRC.

I was surprised by this as well, but it does make sense with Sheldon Richardson in the fold and Jones playing so well. I never personally saw him as a 5tech, but a 3 tech. So maybe he will make the PS and can come along for the ride this season and make it back in 2018. At least I hope so.

Exactly ... and again, when you're a serious Super Bowl Contending team ... I'd say at most maybe half of your draft class ends up making the 53 Man Roster.

That's because it's all a crapshoot and the more picks you have the better shot you find Chris Carson types.

Tagging on this one because I am lazy and wanted to point out something said by Scanner.....I think I agree with what you said about half if that will make a contenders team....and 90 percent will not be starters...they will be fillers like we had in our SB year....and Second Year. It is the experience that makes a team come together....not single players.

After all the devastating attrition at RB last season, I hope that we can somehow re-sign AC to the PS. We got pretty desperate in '16.

Yes, but somewhat miss-used. He was never a real 3tech to me, but a 1tech playing out of position. But he looked to be slowing down some late last year in even rush defense with too many plays being pushed out of position. I am glad he played with us, but don't really miss him on our line.

But do wish him good luck with his new team. Someone will pick him up.

That's the one guy I really do not want to see back. Sorry just to me he was such an unathletic RB with poor vision. To me this quote sums up Collins perfectly:

We're playing liars poker right now as well, lots of teams are releasing vets at the moment so the market is flooded, the shuffle begins and PS will get filled and we will shuffle again for a lower salary on some players I would guess to bring back.

WOW!! THAT ONE is the biggest surprise for me as well ... I thought Desir had made a very strong case for making this roster. I'm guessing that figuring out the CB's was one of the tougher decisions. Well, we know who's making it on the roster now I'd say. Unless something changes, it's Thorpe.
