Damn, sounds like Miller is nowhere near returning. No wonder they have been pursuing Tight Ends.

Thought there was a complete effort from start to finish. Said it seemed pretty much like the last 2 games there. Very tough, late 4th quarter wins. Gave props for playing tough through mistakes and issues and that it was a good tough win

On the TD drive....Said we ran the ball well and were patient having 4:37 left in the game. Managed the clock well. Said they wanted to score the TD there if they could.

Asked why other late drives haven't gone so smooth...gave the obvious answer that if they knew they'd do it that way all the time.

On the young guys playing. Said they did a nice job. As we turn the corner we have a lot of guys who have been called on to play and that can help us down the stretch. Added that we'll have 5 or 6 guys coming back in the next few weeks

Injures:

Zach Miller and Bobby Wagner met with doctors and there still is no timeline for either

Unger, Maxwell and Hill each have a chance to come back this week. They'll see how it goes this week.

Good chance Walters comes back.

Lane comes back for the Giants game.

Encouraged with PRich at returner.

Waiting to see how Smith responds to his groin injury

Carpenter seems ok, has back spasms. Will see later in the week.

Also said Johnson has to complete the concussion protocols

Said Pierre-Lewis played pretty well

Reports on Lynch and seahawks tired of his act. Pete said there is nothing to that talk. He said it doesn't behoove them to respond to every one of these reports. Says it's not worth it and there's nothing to it

Asked when he talks to Lynch his reply is whenever he needs to. Said Lynch works his tail off doing whatever he asks of him.

(Seemed irritated at the question to be honest)

Said Turbin is fitting in at the FB position. Said if there was a FB out there that could jump in and play right now they'd have already made that move. Said they will continue to work with the options they have. Said having Turbin at FB doesn't change their playbook at all

on Michael's play...said it's good to get him in the mix.. Said it's created more chances with Turbin at FB

Said he thought it was a better day across the board in rushing the passer. Liked both the 4 man rushes and the pressures.

Thought Cliff and Bruce and Mike were the most effective and led the way for our pass rushers.

Asked about Scruggs. Said he's banging away at it.

On PRich and Norwood. Said it's all a part of the young guys contributing. They can block and make the tough catches, and get the first downs. Said they've earned it by the way they've worked.

on Targeting Sherman....said he's not surprised, that's football. Said he's more surprised when teams don't.

Said he liked how Simon came through and that he played pretty well.

on Trades....said John's working on it. Talking to people and entertaining ideas. Said he'll work til the final hour.

(sounded like the same old "we are always looking to make the team better" type stuff)

On Russell running for first downs...said Russ really just takes advantage of the opportunities given to him. Says he has a very good sense of getting the first downs.

On the INT, should Lynch have caught it....Said it was a hot through and Lynch has great hands and said that Lynch would probably say he should have caught it.

Thinks it's better to break Richardson in on Kickoff returns before letting him try punt returns

Spoke on the gesture of a team forfeiting to the Marysville High school where the shooting occurred and said it was a very cool gesture

That's it for today.

Seems there may be some good news on the injury front, but will still be missing Miller and Wagner for awhile
