I was thinking 9-7, but looked at our schedule.

I think we lose to Pitt, lose @ Minn and @ AZ. That's 8-8 right there. Problem is, we just don't show we can win close games, hold onto leads, or finish pretty much anyone.

I think squeaking out wins vs. BAL and STL will use up all of our luck with close calls.

Honestly, at this point, I don't care. 6-10 might be best for us. It might piss the team off, and get us a better draft position.

Really, what's the difference between a "competitive" 9-7 and a mediocre 7-9 ?

I optimistically voted 9-7.

This Hawks season feels surprisingly the same as the Mariners season... meaning, the team has the talent but we're growing tired of waiting for the talent to play up to our expectations while the season slowly slips away.

I said 8-8. This team is off and not going to fix their issues in the next 7 games.

But I will watch and support them even if they want to go out like that.

I would go with 8-8 as well. The 2 losses at home is telling. They don't seem to be playing with the same energy as the the last two years. When they would tackle in the '13 season it looked like 1/2 the team joined in gang tackling.

The offense is a collective flop due to the a couple reasons. The OL can't pass block or run block. Much of the time lunch gets hit Behind the line. That leads to a long 2nd and 3rd

Missing is no one has mentioned the special teams. They are not special. Lockett was supposed to help with field position and it has not. We are getting a lot of long fields. We used to move the ball on O to al least get good punts that pin them way back. Not this season. The other teams are getting the short field.

I love my hawks but I think 7-9 at this point. We may beat Cleveland, Baltimore, Niners, and maybe either Rams or Stealers. That's about it. Take our lumps and move on to next year.

I am straddling the fence right now, I think we see the next two weeks the character of our team. They rose to this level battling the critics, reaped the rewards, but I think started believing the headlines instead of what got them there. Whether they can find that hunger and motivation is going to be what sets them on the road to recovery or on the road to rebuild.

My worry is that it was the last game that showed their current character..............
Me too. Have they bottomed out or is a loss at home to Blaine Gabbert the bottom? Hate to say it but it wouldn't surprise me one iota.

BTW, I voted 8-8. That might be generous.

11-5 no longer feels like a long shot. In fact the way they are playing right now it seems a foregone conclusion.

Losing Rawls with no idea when Lynch comes back has me concerned. Sure the passing game looks great but without a running threat, I am concerned. I think 10-6 looks pretty good but winning the remaining 3 without a running threat can be a problem.

Well with the Falcons and Bucs losing, we just gave ourselves a small cushion in the wildcard standings. Hopefully that will soften the blow of losing BBR.

9-7 realistically and fan bias...8-8 or 7-9 is more realistic...

Yup. 7-9. We'll just have to lose 4 times over the next 3 games. ;)

This thread was just full of lose. I voted 11-5 at the time, and meant it.

I still can't believe we won that Pitt game. That game was everything the Bengals or Packers game was... but, man, pulled it out.

Forgiven. We ALL talk out of our heads during the course of a season as it happens.
