This reminds me of the Rams during the Fisher days. Always fought the Seahawks hard. Occasionally won a game. Moral victories galore. But in the end the Seahawks were clearly the better team whatever the outcome. They always made the playoffs while the Rams sat at home.

I disagree.

It looks like Pete is treading water deliberately to make an average team look better than it is
. It still ends in losses and a .500 record.

You are mistaken if you think improvement is around the corner. We lost a game we could have won because we made stupid decisions.

You honestly think the stupid decisions will stop in the future? This comes with the territory.

We will see but I'm betting the future is more of the same under this staff. We will rack up wins against weaker teams and lose close games to the rest.

This is a VERY interesting take

So you are saying he is treading water deliberately making us look better than it is

You mean he is coaching the team to be better than it would be otherwise?

I would probably agree on this

Then you are meaning that he is doing this coaching job so that he can fake us all to make the team look well coached so that we don't realize they would be worse without this coaching?

Then you proceed to say that this good coaching is a reason why we should fire the coaches because they are not good...……

You lost me at the end

That's because it doesn't make any sense.

We're playing teams with FARRR more talent than we have. We have to play near perfect games to be competitive.

You're half right.

Our defense is the major part of the rebuild, so mistakes and growing pains should be expected. But the offense? No excuses.

You have a top 10 QB with veteran receivers, a great stable of RB's and FINALLY a good O-line. No excuses for them not winning a couple of these close games in the 4th quarter. 0-4 this year. Not acceptable IMO for a veteran offense that was suppose to carry the team this year.

I disagree if you match up the Hawks against the Rams on paper they should blow us out... But they dont... why is that? It is because The Hawks are playing better than their talent level.... this is an extremely well coached ball club that is integrating a new O... There has been no continuity on the O line and the O line struggles against elite competition... Wilson doesn't look fully comfortable in this O yet... Give it some time guys its going to work out...

The offense is in learning mode, Wilson now has to read the defense find receivers 1 -5 and hot read guys, he didn't have to do that before and those receivers change every time they run that play based on what the defense shows, thats his learning curve that will take time to get down to NOT having to think about. The ball will come out faster when he has that down.

Wilson also has to develop that pocket presence he didn't have to do or couldn't do under Bevell. You say veteran receivers but Lockett is a guy that was part time his first year and then injured and this is his first year of being a regular, Moore is in his first year as a regualr starter. Baldwin is the only starter that has real experience out there. Then you have to add Vannett and Dickson both who were not starters here last year and the Fant introduction at TE as a blocker. That doesn't even include Dissley who is injured.

Huh? Wilson has had the same two primary receivers for what, two years now? And he's always had progression offensive playcalling, as does every NFL QB. This isn't college Chris, all NFL offenses are variations of route trees and progressions.

Terrible excuse.

No they are not, Bevll has the worst trees in the NFL, players called them High School trees, and Schotty has said that he has all these changes based on pre reads and why he puts guys in motion that the QB has to pick up etc, based on that the Hot read and primary changes as well.

There is a reason that Bevell isn't working right now, even the new league has not hired him.
