You mean like last year when he made the PRO BOWL & "Come Back Player of The Year"?
4,000+ YARDS isn't ''Backup'' QB stats.
Read my post again...slowly. Pay particular attention to the part about anyone being able to push themselves for a short time but hard to maintain if it isn't who you really are. Sorry if the truth about Geno hurt your feelings but until he consistently delivers the same level for more than one season I won't be sold on him.

No, like last Sunday when he had 3 yards in a half.

Damn you guys jump off so quick.

An entire season's body of work doesn't matter and all that you gauge is one half of football, most of which was without his two starting tackles?

Holy moly people. Take a breath.

He's a stopgap. His contract was structured as a stopgap. He's going to be 34 next season. Even at QB, that's still getting old. Whether or not people want to believe they were looking at QBs this past draft, they most certainly will be looking next year.

You mean getting sacked, hit, hurried, tackled for a loss, coughed up the ball AND got a broken finger, out for several games "dealt with it"?

Yep, due to crap offensive lines and a scheme that added to the problem. Geno is suffering from it too just like practically every QB that played under Pete Carroll.

He's a stopgap.

I wish people would realize that instead of believing he's the next coming of Johnny Unitas because he finally had a year in which he didnt suck.

It’s Pete’s defense. Bend but don’t break. But they keep breaking. Give them 6-7 years to throw and stop when they are in field goal range. But this team isn’t the LOB.

Funny how offensive lines are all "crap" when Wilson is behind them. During the 2022 offseason, we were all told how great the Broncos offense was going to be with Wilson finally getting a good OL. Now, after just one season, everyone's talking about how bad the Broncos OL is. What could possibly have caused that sudden change of reputation for the line? 🤔

Geno can still make reads as evidenced by the first half of the Rams game. Sometimes people underestimate how much it impacts an offense when you lose both starting OTs. Waldron has to also play call better to help a struggling offense too.

All of it? Come on man. Geno AND the offense was brutal in the 2nd half. And so was the defense. They got flat out dominated.
The entire team, and the coaching staff got owned........again.
All of it on Geno? No
Hell Yeah, all of it. 3 ******* yards the entire second half 3. What the hell is someone gonna do with that. The defense was bad in the second half because Stupid Geno couldn't do shit. If Geno would have replicated what he did in the first half into the second, Hawks win that game. There's 60 minutes in football right, so the Hawks D was on the field for like 20 plus minutes in the second half, I think I would be tired to.

How is it not partly the defense's fault when there were two no name Rams WR's getting 100+ receiving yards for the game? The defense gave up a 10 play drive resulting in a Rams TD to open up the 2nd half.

The fault for this losing this game lies with both offense and defense.
Ok, I'll give you that, but if Geno replicated what he did in the first half into the second half, Hawks win this game.

lol give me any and all QB In the nfl in here without the two starting tackles and they’ll all suck ass. Get the hell over it already. Jfc. Some of y’all are just using any and all little reason to shit on Geno, nothing changing this season unless he goes down injured. It’s tiring, it really makes this place suck.
I also find it f’n weird that some of y’all are very quick to “OOH LOOK SEE GENO SUCKS!! STATS PROVE IT!! 3yrds 2nd half!!! He’s a bust blah blah” damn you know how childish and stupid some of that sounds especially when blatantly ignoring the FACT that his two tackles were out of the game? Lol 😂 If your gunna blame Geno you need to blame PC and Waldron for not drawing up plays and making changes to adjust for or at least minimize the impact of loosing your starting tackles have.

This.

Anytime you get dominated like we did in that 2nd half, there's multiple reasons one can point to.

Geno didn't have a good game and didn't do anything to carry the team as so many franchise QB's have done in the past when facing adversity. He continued the mediocre play that defined him in the last 7 games of the season last year.

But he was NOT the root cause of our loss. Had he played a game like Josh Allen did on Monday night, ie 4 turnovers and 5 sacks, then I could see laying the primary blame on him. But Geno didn't turn the ball over and took just 2 sacks for 17 yards despite losing both OT's and being under almost constant pressure.

I'm no fan of Geno's. He's a bridge QB at best until we can find our QBOTF. But it borders on ignorance to blame him for that abortion as there was so many facets of the game that didn't go our way.

Its probably Wilson due to the trauma and phobia of being killed for years playing in a Pete Carroll system.

The Detroit game plan will probably require holding in their tight ends to provide more chip blocking to help out the second tier offensive tackles.

I'm not at all confident that they will be able to field a 3-down defensive that compensates for Bobby Wagner's more limited range.

To be fair, I was never really on board with Geno to begin with. What I saw Sunday just confirmed my suspicions. Even in the first half, he was passable, but wasn't exactly Patrick Mahomes. I don't want to settle. So sue me.

So you're completely dismissing his pro bowl year where he broke numerous franchise records.

Duely noted.
