But shoot, maybe he's smarter than all of us and knows the world is about to end and that that $1/4 Billy he and Ciara have amassed over the last few years gets them a ticket on Elons Arc, and salvation. Conversely I just watched Geno live on NFL Network TC coverage and he looks legit slimmed down, and that's someone who wasn't overweight to begin with. He said he is on a no meat, no dairy, no sweets (no fun haha) diet. It shows.

The sticky question is, exactly when are things supposed to look better? Perhaps, the running game dominates and all of this hand-wringing will be for naught. At this point, we are left to wonder where the disconnect is coming from. As we venture down the road, until there is some sort of dramatic turnaround, it looks more and more like we are headed for another disappointing year.

It does make you wonder if something deeper is going on with Russell Wilson. At some point, perhaps soon, the question may be as simple as, “Russ, are you okay?”

Whatever is happening with Wilson he needs to work through it fast. The Broncos can no afford a slow start in their first four games as that is probably the most favorable part of their schedule.

The term fat and happy comes to mind. I sincerely think his "No time for sleep" mantra died around 2017-2018 or so. He went from hyper living, eating, breathing football to Ciara where it's about the land of magazine covers and perfumes and commercials and endorsements...He lost his way, his drive, his will to truly do what it takes to be the best.

As competitive as he is, I think the money, the fame and the intoxicating chatter of his entourage became too much.

And now here before us all stands a former, older, bloated, far less focused and far more delusional version of himself from what we Seahawks fans knew and loved for the better part of a decade.

I don’t think I care, either way, if he sucks or not now. As a fan, you do become attached to players…guys like Marshawn, Bobby, Kam, Sherm, Alexander, Largent….stay close to the heart.

I have been speculating that Wilson has fragile psyche, and Pete was good at handling it. I think no one knows that part of Wilson more than Pete, he protected and nurtured it when Wilson was with the Hawks. Pete also 'played' with that fragile psyche after he left, first with booing, then the Geno listened and followed coaches' plays, to Geno wore wrist band, Pete kept needling Wilson's fragile psyches.
