I hate him and the patriots as much as anyone but the guy is just a complete genius. He had his 2nd string qb ready to play and lead the team to 2-0. 3rd string qb usually destroys any chance of winning but he looks poised, throwing on point and looks to be able to lead ths team to another win {obviously not over yet). The guy just wins.

BelliCheat vs Pete The Cheat.

No contest. Pete has a worthless piece of trash OC that doesn't scheme for teams at all. The Patriots scheme so hard that the third string quarterback goes out there and wins.

This is really what boggles my mind about the Patriots, they have no Brady, no Gronk, a third string nobody playing QB and they are winning 27 to 0?...I mean wtf? Any other team in that situation I feel would be getting smoked right now so how is it that the Patriots always seem to be the exception in this league and not the norm? I don't wanna say theres a conspiracy going on but damn you can't sit there and say that doesn't raise some eyebrows. I did read this article awhile back that pretty much goes back to the patriots history when Brady and Bellicheck first got to the organization, very good read if you're curious about how that team has operated over the years. http://www.espn.com/espn/otl/story/_/id ... iots-apart

Houston has stunk it up from the opening kickoff. The Patriots aren't that great.
Games like this does make me wonder if Vegas money comes into play.

Quote by an ESPN writer

"The Patriots had a smart defensive game plan tonight, too. Put Malcolm Butler on Will Fuller and use 2-Man technique over the top of DeAndre Hopkins. That allowed the Patriots to limit the explosive play ability of Hopkins (man underneath with a safety sitting over the top) while putting their No. 1 CB on Fuller. You don't always have to "shadow" the opposing team's top WR. Use the game plan to win."

You mean they changed up their defense entirely to scheme for an appointment and put their team in a position of advantage. Weird, so weird. Why would you do that?

Surprised McDaniels doesnt have another hc job. Did a good job not asking that 3rd string qb to do too much and played to his strengths.

Was mostly the Patriots defense and special teams having a great day though.

Be hilarious (and infuriating) if they went 16-0 without having had Brady for the first 4 games.

Nah you just missed the part about how they have a very talented defense and some very good slot wrs.

Belicheat is a great coach, but their personnel team is straight magic and has been for two decades. Part of that is obviously Belicheat too, but they've been nailing drafts and free agency since the 1990s. Drew Bledsoe? Curtis Martin? Ty Law? For the better part of 20+ years this team has been making great draft selections and free agent acquisitions.

Be more hilarious if they went 4-0 and then never won another game when Brady came back.

He is a fantastic coach, too bad he has no remorse about cheating and lying, even worse to me though, is that the owner is more vile and narcissistic.

I think McDaniels just dusted off the Tebow game plan that he had from his days at the Broncos and when New England took a shot with Tebow. He gave the file to Brissette, and Brisette executed it better than Tebow ever could.

It is insane what these guys do.

As a Rams fan I have as much right as anyone to hate that organization - supposedly the "cheating" started back then. But my take over the years has changed. It irks me how all NFL players and coaches will seemingly do anything to win. The Patriots went further than most, granted, but IMO it doesn't take away from the greatness they have accomplished over the years.

This really makes you wonder who is more vital to their success: Brady or Belichick?

FYI - McDaniels was an average to bad HC in Denver and then his stop with the Rams as an OC was a complete disaster. And people talking about their personnel team - all put together and controlled by Belichick, as is their offense. OCs have come and gone and failed as HC. But yet NE always seems to have success. It's Belichick.

Let's pump the breaks a bit. That game had as much to do with Houston the NE. Houston essentially stepped on their own D#@$2. Fumbling not one but TWO kickoffs. Throwing an interception. Continually running on third and medium. Not committing to stop the run.

Houston is not ready for primetime and they handed the game to ne.

Brissett barely threw for 100 yards!

Well in Denver he had Cutler, nobody has been able to polish Cutler, Rams he had Broken down MG Midget Bradford and a lousy line, receivers and a ghost of a running game if I remember correctly, that and he wasn't given a lot of time.

I think he is probably a good OC, but he needs a group of players that fits his scheme, like here in Seattle, how much is Pete's influence and how much is Cable / Bevell .
