Also expect a HEAVY emphasis on fixing our run defense.
Overall, I don't think the run defense looked all that bad...except for that last Patriot scoring drive and a couple of big runs allowed. There is certainly room for improvement, but it seemed like most run attempts were stopped at the line for minimal gain. It was the few that weren't stopped at the line that made things look really bad.

Overall, the Seahawks are middle of the pack for rushing yards allowed, but they are on the high end for rushing attempts made against them. Probably a big reason for the high attempts is because they are doing good against the pass, ranked #5 for passing yards allowed.

The numbers here of being favoured by 6.5 points are concerning to me as this is somewhat of an insult to the Dolphins. That alone may cause them to play better than predicted even with their backup QB.

This is what I thought too. Hit and miss. Was that play where Mayfe had it dead to rights but went for a long gain a run or pass?
Dolphin running game is much different, more on blocking angles, motion and speed vs the power game the Pats come at you with.
Any opinions on which style our D is better suited to stop?

Schedule-wise, this is a big game for us. If we can get this win with Tua out, it gives us momentum going into the Lions game, and a bit of a cushion when our schedule gets a little harder after the Giants game.

Classic trap game.

Still, if we can take care of business we'll be 3-0 heading into our first game against a playoff caliber team.

Go Hawks!

This is not a coaching staff that is going to take anyone lightly. I'm not even slightly worried about them overlooking any opponent. The Dolphins are no slouch.

The high rushing attempts were because Bo Nix has not had success throwing the ball yet and Brisett does not have talented receivers. Seahawks were also bringing lots of pressure against both QBs. Brissett only passed for 120 yards against the Bengals. They are a run first offense.

Miami is going to really try to run the ball this week to stay ahead of the chains. Not sure if mostert is back?

The first balanced offense the Seahawks D will face is against Detroit

The odds and handicap relate to win probability. A perceived win probability of 72.5% will generate a -280, +235 line and a -6½ handicap. A 68.5% probability will generate a -235, +195 and a -5 handicap. The Seahawks game has moved from the former to the later.

Seattle has the secondary to match up with Detroit’s pass game

Witherspoon, Woolen, Love can square up nicely with St. Brown, Williams and La Porta better than most teams can

It will be nice if we can cover La Porta better than Henry.
