I think we do need to temper expectations. Sam isn’t a hall of fame type QB that is going to carry the team on his back without support; and he certainly was pretty average on Sunday vs the Vikings (and downright dreadful vs the Rams) but he is a far upgrade on Geno and with relatively light pressure is highly effective.

I’m just going to keep everything crossed he doesn’t have a shocker in the playoffs and is at least competent enough to mean the defense doesn’t have to pitch a sub 14 points game to win.

You're preaching to the choir. And even if we sucked really bad, there would still be no guarantee of getting a QBOTF. Just take a look at teams like the Browns and Jets if one needs an example.

I am mildly concerned about Sam. He was pressured quite a bit last Sunday, and he might start hearing footsteps.

I'd like to see us get a ground game established. We're supposed to be a run-first offense yet we are just 26th in yards per carry.
I want to see more screens and Dump-offs going forward.

THAT is how the Hawks can offset teams like the Rams who try to "Dime" Darnold to death, so to speak.

The Colts look beatable.

I think we take the next two (Falcons and Colts)
Agree 100%. The Colts look pretty Mid as of the last few games. If you can get a lid on Taylor - they will wilt.

There's a lot of positives to feel good about this team. We have lost 3 games by a total of 9 points, were a makeable FG away from beating the Rams despite 4 turnovers, and our defense keeps getting better. I don't see any team in the NFC, indeed the entire league, that is particularly scary.

It's going to be a fun stretch run. I just got through buying tickets to the Rams game on the 18th and new all-weather tires on my rig so I can make it over the pass and back.

I don't know. For me, the fact that we've got flashing red lights in all the areas that a team needs to succeed offensively in December and January -

*Run game
*Ball security
*3rd and long

...seems to signal a disappointing end to the season. We'll see.

The last two remain a concern.

But the first one is showing signs of improvement.
