You were not watching a Super Bowl-caliber offense today. If you are happy with that, then go nuts.

Already addressed this a few post down from the one you quoted, I don't disagree. That's not what the OP is doing here though, is it? If you are the type to just bitch and moan after a win like this, pound sand.

Make us.

Nah, seriously, do what you can to dictate to other people how they post. I'd love to see it.

People can post what they like. There are no requirements to be a homer or to put blinders on or to adopt whatever makes you feel good. What drives this board is discussion.

Make you what? What the heck are you talking about man? What are you so angry about?

Who is trying to dictate what people post? Never once said anything like that, and you can't point to where I did.

I totally agree which is why I posted this below, which you clearly missed:

I am not talking about people doing what you are describing. I am talking about people complaining, eg calling this the "worst" dominating win. This wasn't a squeaker. Could they have played better? Sure, and that can and should be discussed. I am sure even the biggest homer could find something to improve upon in a game like this. In turn, even the most realistic fan that has notes can appreciate this win in a lot of facets. Coming in here and trying to downplay this win for the sake of being a downer is lame. First shutout in a decade. I will take that win, dancing every time.

So you are preaching to the choir here. So maybe chill for a second and actually pay attention to what is being posted before you start raging again.

When your TE make basic errors in blocking, your Rbs miss blocks, and Anthony Bradford stands there like a Barn, with a double way door wide open... staring off into emptiness oblivious to anything around you..... kinda hurts offensive production. It Took Kubiak until half time to friggen counter it with TE screens

THats the blame I put on this game... my only critique... they definitely geared to give sam less than 2 seconds half the time, and we just didnt adjust WITHIN the game enough to counter it.. I hate waiting until half time when you see clearly something isn't working

Can we PLEASE.... PLEASE try Haynes? Also Cabledue.. is a GREAT run blocker... he's TERRIBLE at pass protection.. please don't put him out there on passing downs

I honestly don't get the hate on Darnold today.. he had someone on him at all freaking times during this game.. until we started screening in the second half... thats coaching.. not QB play.

Otherwise.. I was VERY happy with the game... Run game seemed smooth, and the D was on point. We shut them out... we could have kicked a field goal and still won. The Rams lost to the Panthers today with three Stafford turnovers.... The Colts lost today... all to 500 teams.. Any given Sunday as they say

Lol what team has looked like a superbowl caliber team the entire season? The Rams were the closest and they lost today. This team isn't perfect but they are great enough to beat anyone.

I guess the patriots too but they also lost to the raiders in the beginning of the season.

Gotta love it when the offense plays poorly and the team still wins, 26-0.

This is how the first game against the Rams would have looked if Sam doesn't throw 4 interceptions.

From Sports Illustrated

"In Sam Darnold's defense, it's tough to do anything good when you're getting pass protection like he got today from Seattle's starting offensive line. As per usual, right guard Anthony Bradford was the worst offender, but nobody really covered themselves in glory blocking against Brian Flores' blitzes. In the end, Darnold took four sacks, five QB hits and a lot more pressures."

I think Darnold did exactly what he needed to do for the Hawks to win. I dont blame him for the offense being stopped. Anyone watching could see we were getting our butts whipped up front.

The hilarious thing is that there are certain people here who say that Darnold pissed down his leg in this game every time he drops back to pass (*cough* @TwistedHusky *cough*). 😂 😂 😂

But most importantly (that SI conveniently didn't mention) : He threw ZERO Interceptions.

And if he does the same thing as far as "process" goes when we face the Rams in week 16, we win that game easily.

Stafford and that Rams team have no answer to our Defense but I think we will have an answer (for the most part) to Shula's defense.

Disagree whole heartedly.

Wins like this show grit, and shows this team is capable of winning in multiple fashion. Shootouts or slobber knockers, they find a way.

I get it defensive games aren't as fun to watch, but a win is a win. And in this league, every win matters.
Totally agree with your post, but I think some defensive games can be terrific to watch.

They had to rely on a run game because of their defensive schemes (usually makes for 'strange games' like these, and hey a win!!).

Our D is just fantastic. This is strange and nasty crew on both sides of the ball. Gotta love it.

Must admit I'm very convinced of two things:
1) This defense is elite and it is getting better week to week. If they can get Love, Rylie and DJ back in the rotation with everyone else healthy, the league will have a real big problem. They have the potential to keep us in any game or flat out win the game on their own.
2) I concur with all of the posters here who are deeply worried by the offensive production. With each passing game, it feels the book on Darnold is getting clearer and clearer for defensive co-ordinators (in simple terms, turn the pressure wick up to 11 and force quick decisions). In this game, despite 0 INTs I actually felt less convinced by our offense than the Rams game. Here, the line could give absolutely no protection throughout the game. Props to Charbs and Walker for turning many negative runs into small/notable gains, saw this repeatedly.

My expectations and hopes for the year are Superbowl; if they were just to get into the playoffs, I'd be just focusing on the incredible defense, and hoping the offense is able to clean things up to some degree. However, my expectations are far higher than that so as I posted on the gameday forum y'day, that was the most depressed I've felt watching a blowout win purely because this sort of play is likely not going to be good enough when it matters against a challenger in January. I'm not sure why we need to have this constant mocking by the two sides of the coin ("enjoy every win" vs "having concerns over the deficiencies in a win"), people have differing perspectives and that's OK. The schedule coming up after the Falcons is tough, and there is a good chance we need to win at least 4/5 of the remaining games to clinch the number 1 seed (incl. the Rams game as a win)
