I hear that a lot about our WRs from other fans who don't watch our games. In fairness, if your definition of a good WR group is getting consistently open, then yeah, our WRs aren't the best. However, they have other qualities that are outstanding, namely catch rate, not fumbling, deep threat ability, and running after the catch.

Not to mention they're some of the best blocking WRs out there. Especially Golden Tate!

Our receivers are allergic to getting open. That being said, is there a better WR corps in the NFL at making sure the enemy doesn't catch the ball if they can't haul it in? It seems like I can't even count the number of times I've seen an incomplete pass that would have been a pick if not for some Seahawks WR's arm or hand preventing the DB from getting it. Ok, not THAT often, but it IS a trait I've noticed that our guys seem to excel at.

On topic, Manning has MVP in the bag. He's maybe the best QB to ever play the game, and he's having a career year.

I agree...unless Manning falls way off and someone else comes out of nowhere I think it is Mannings to lose. He is having a very MVP like year

A bit early in the season to declare that, don'tcha think? A lot can happen between now and week 17.

Barring Peyton being hit by a meteor, he has it in the bag.

I agree, its already been decided and not a damned thing we can do about it. Even beating him in the SuperB owl will not stop him from being MVP. The only thing that would stop that would be if he was injured and out for an extended period. And that would have to be at least half the season out.

They're a bunch of one-dimensional guys who are really good at their one dimension. They also share the clutch gene with Russell Wilson. I'm pretty much done complaining seriously about our WR's, although I am really intrigued at what Jermaine Kearse can do now that he can see.

^^ and stay healthy.

It's pretty tough to move up on that list when the Head Coach's motto is "Run First".

Are you suggesting our WRs act more like CBs? I wonder how much rapport Sherman and Thurmond could build with RW as receivers, and the speedy ETIII in the slot...

Seriously though, how many balls does Wilson throw that give opposing teams an actual chance on jt? It doesn't seem to happen often. I see him putting it where only his receiver has a chance which makes WRs earn their catches.
