Nothing wrong with being pissed off after a sh** show game. It's part of being a fan. I'm not calling for any changes, but I also can't fathom anyone feeling good after that game yesterday. People deal with it their own way. Whatever gets you over it and on to next Sunday.

I’m not mad. I’m happy the PC treadmill seasons are over.

JS isn’t blameless for this roster as some spout. He needs to be gone too and the stench of NINE years of playoff FAILURE with him.

Yep. JS, Coach Mike, Grubb, Geno and his teammates. ALL have a part in this. I suspect it will better, just gonna' take some time.

"you're just a Geno hater" in 3.....2......1........

Head coaches deserve patience. Reputable organizations don't rush. However, reputable organizations also don't dilly dally and will rip off the bandaid if they need to.

I don't think Mac should be immune from a one-and-done tenure here. I don't think it's likely that he'll be fired or that he's done enough to be fired. I think he should be if the wheels fall apart though.

You can't end year 1 without momentum. It spells doom. If we fall apart rather than finishing strong, that's bad. Falling apart is even forgivable if we're good enough to finish .500 regardless, but we won't be.

If this team spirals, then it's a Mora-esque situation and we need to nip it.

200

This. But we are already spiraling. And we've lost 3 of 4 at home. There's video of Geno literally crying on the sidelines yesterday FFS. It's not rebuilding. It's imploding.

You're not wrong, when the team underperforms fans have a right to be upset. The thing that doesn't make sense are those fans that want to blow the whole thing up at this point. We have to give the current course time to work. If we're still seeing this kind of performance late in the season next year then disappoint and speculation should rightfully ramp up.
Well, I think what people are just as pissed about, while being pissed off is the realization that:

"We CAN'T fix it right now."

We've got largely what we've got for the year. We can make a couple trade moves but we're not going to FIX it.

Add that to the bait and switch start - and.... well people are pissed.

Fans are pissed because of the want for immediate results, with no patience to willing to wait a yr or two for everything to work out
I just took my DeLorean to 2018, and I was waiting then. I just came back to 2024 and it appears I’m still waiting. Guess, I’ll keep waiting.

We don’t have enough asset wise to be considered a rebuild. We just don’t.

A complete overhaul of the coaching staff while picking up pieces from the past is going to require some patience.

BUT - the manner in which they lost, how they played, the gravity of the mistakes that were made…I haven’t seen a center snap the ball over someone’s head like that at the NFL level in a loooooonnngg time.

The bickering and arguing. Hell, I think I even saw Geno yell at Tyler…

The way they lost…indicates something else besides not having enough dogs in the kennel.

I’m not calling for MMs head. Nor JS for that matter. I have faith they’ll get this team back in contention.

It’s not if you’ve been dealt a bad hand or not (lack of quality players, holdovers from another era, etc.) but HOW you play that hand as well.

I know how it looks to others when I say this, but I can't even blame him at this point. I really can't.

He has been sold out for years straight on a team that just has not been able to support him. He's taken so many strides in his game and he's met with incompetent defense, incompetent protection, and incompetent rushing.

He's getting older and he's seized a second chance at glory. He doesn't have forever and he's not being given a real opportunity to succeed here.

I'm sure it hurts to put yourself in a position to have a fairytale redemption arc on your own merit just to be surrounded by Jaguars-tier play, amateur hour coaching, and fans who will blame it all on you anyway.

I’m still not understanding the amateur hour coaching. It’s the exact same result so far .500 play as the same coach you argued was doing so well he should get another year. I love you man but it seems like you’re being a little biased here. If it’s amateur hour now it was amateur hour the past 2 years too then. League bottom defense under Pete and horrible line play.

I’m not going to kill you for loving Geno even though I disagree on him sometimes we love players because we see something bigger than football and that’s cool. I have that with Russ if I’m being honest.

Low key good take
No fan is happy anytime their team loses, and we all vent in a way.
Still more games to play

Good gravy, I've defended Geno this year but he has let down the team just as much as he has been let down. I'm glad he is on the team but he is far from perfect himself.

Are you not familiar with the criticisms of Grubb? We went from the 10th-best rush offense to the 29th. We're in shotgun almost 90% of the time, and we're dead last in play-action attempts despite Geno being one of the five best in the league in 2022 and 2023.

I am familiar with it. The reasons we can’t run has more to do with the line being terrible because of talent and injuries than the coaching. I wouldn’t use a ton of play action either if no one respects it and sits in cover 2/3 all day it’s not what you should do.

The line is similar to last season, though. So, what's the common denominator in Seattle's sudden and drastic decline in rushing efficiency and overall reliance on the QB to drive everything?

That's the thing. Geno's being asked to carry a significantly larger load than the previous two seasons; whether you attribute that to a lack of o-line talent or coaching is up to you.

I think Stones play this year is drastically worse than what we saw last year. I would argue guard play has been much worse this year too.

I think it’s more a talent issue. Grubb needs to get better as well I just think the line severely limits him and he’s scared to call plays when he’s averaging 2 yards a carry.

I think it will get better though personally

Our line is not largely the same as last year. That's just false.
We lost our left guard our center and are currently playing our 4th string RT.

Yeah this keeps getting repeated and I don’t understand it.
