I just can't get behind this. The Dline is playing well. The second level is what has been killing them. For the offensive line how is it because Macdonalds is terrible? Lucas got hurt and multiple scouting sites listed Stone as the worst offensive lineman in the league when he started. So I guess what I'm saying is the defensive line has been fine for the most part and the offensive line had to deal with injuries and they did a poor job with the guard positions. That's not on Mike that's on the front office and a little bit of bad luck.Williams, Murphy, Reed, and Hankins combined with Mafe and Hall on the edges is a pretty formidable on-ball rotation. That's actually almost certainly a top 10 unit.
OL, sure, lacking talent - but we'd have bookends if Lucas had held up and Connor Williams is an acceptable center under most circumstances.
There's something nasty going on here coaching-wise. It shouldn't be this bad.
I'll say it again. People are making an argument that doesn't make sense. They're .500 with a rookie head coach who is supposedly doing a TERRIBLE JOB yet they should've kept the previous coach because he too was a .500 coach for 3 straight years? This makes no sense to me.
