We can agree to disagree, that's our jam. And that's fine. WAY too early to get rid of a guy. Just my opinion.
This is an area I’m more concerned about than you seem to be. One thing I respected at the start of the PC era was he’d get rid of anyone not fully buying into the system from the start. IMO that helped build a real TEAM attitude on and off the field. That is one aspect I really want to see here again. I’m not really seeing these players becoming a team. Maybe that’s more on John, I don’t know for sure but it’s something I want to see sooner rather than later.I would almost consider this a throw away season with a coach determining who needs to go and who needs to stay. MM isn't an idiot. He recognizes the areas that need work and i'm sure he'll address those areas.
Eh...The Seahawks' FO certainly doesn't see themselves as an average-to-bad team. I mean, rewatch those offseason press conferences and tell me you honestly believe THEY thought this team would be last place in the division. They talked about playoffs and failed expectations after a nine-win season. Here's John's opening line from his first press conference this season.Could they not see or understand the state of the team? The Hawks are an average to bad team and have been for the past 3 or so seasons. For the life of me, I don't know how anybody truly thought they would beat Buffalo. There's an enomous amount of things that need fixed with only so many resources and so much time. I said it earlier on that I thought Seattle was probably the worst team in the division and that may be true. MM might not be the answer long term, but he's a proven defensive guy and he at least should have the team headed in the right direction by year 3. So calm down. It's going to be a process and it should have been expected.
We are all here today because we underachieved in 2023. We all did. And now we’re in a situation where we all need to get better. And we understand that the 12s, the fans, the community, [owner] Jody [Allen], everybody in this building deserves better,
Just so you know, in 1992 I predicted a Seahawks win in every game. I was right twice!Did you look at the prediction thread? Lol. A lot of fans can't see through their bias and believe the team to be so much better than it is.
You're not wrong, when the team underperforms fans have a right to be upset. The thing that doesn't make sense are those fans that want to blow the whole thing up at this point. We have to give the current course time to work. If we're still seeing this kind of performance late in the season next year then disappoint and speculation should rightfully ramp up.When the team plays like sh**, I'm gonna' be upset. No matter what season. It's one thing to play hard and get knocked off (Lions game)
You can tip your cap to the opponent. It's another to shoot yourself in the foot AND play like garbage for 4 quarters.

This is different. Mac is a first timer. Carroll bought himself time by churning out like 10 seasons of 10+ wins in 14 years and then going 9-8 in 2022 when most expected 5 wins.
That leeway isn't there. There needs to be a clear vision on display. They NEED to have something to build on.
