I think The Glove would blow the roof off (if we had one) but of the people who haven't raised it yet, I think the biggest pop would be for either Holmgren or Alexander. I personally think it's time for Shaun to do it, but either would be awesome.

skip to :55 for the music part, but he reps a sonics jersey (1:30) and hawks jersey (starting at 1:45, old school Tez no less.)

Just my opinion. Don't like his music. That's all. I wish him success and good fortune. He's done more with his life than sorry, old me.

Macklemore. Never. IMHO. We're straying too far from the premise of Seahawk lore. Before long, Miley Cyrus will be Twerking the 12th Man pole to raise the flag. All sorts of wrong in that sentence.

Aside from the downright ridiculousness of the Miley reference-what do you mean? We have had a freaking mountain climber raise the flag and many other Seattle luminaries that have nothing to do with football raise the flag. What about the Tuskegee airman or Bill Russell? What do they have to do with the NFL?

To me, the ceremony of raising the 12 Flag is enough to get me nuclear. Not every flag-raiser inspires me to the level of Paul Allen but there are different tastes and a finite number of realistic alternatives.

I don't even like Macklemore's music or musical genre (don't hate it either-just not my taste) but I COMPLETELY understand the appropriateness of him raising the flag.

Curious why you don't.

I think we should save Holmgren for a playoff game, especially for the (Hopefully) NFCCG, where last one we whipped out Paul Allen. Gary Payton would be a great choice since he just went into the Hall, but for this game, I think Shaun Alexander would be just about the perfect choice. I agree it needs to be a Seahawk.

Macklemore at least reps Seattle (and the Hawks) to a ridiculous degree. Beats someone like Drew Carey, who I mostly remember from some mediocre 90s comedy where he was a Browns fan. Holmgren or SA would be excellent.

Will Ferrel would be fun for a SNF game. He is a USC Alumni and loves PC.

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that he's a 9'ers fan though...

He's been up to a few practices last year if I remember. Said he likes rooting for the hawks because of PC, but he might be a 9ers fan. Either way, it would still be cool, and if he is a 9ers fan, then he would want to be at this game anyway.

I would LOVE Bosworth. That'd be awesome.

Embrace it...

How bout PAUL, he is responsible for this second to none venue. He really needs to feel the 12th man appreciation!

I have tons of respect for Macklemore and his love for Seattle. I'm sure he'll get a chance to raise the flag at some point. He's worthy.
