No, I didn't realize that because I've never heard that before. Looked into it a bit and from what I could find it sounds like Jody was one of many that encouraged Paul to buy the team because it seemed like he was the best chance to keep the Seahawks in Seattle.

So yeah. It sounds like Jody played a part in encouraging Paul to buy the Seahawks, but I don't think I'm quite ready to shift the credit for saving football in Seattle from Paul to Jody, and I think saying she was just as big a part as Paul is a pretty big stretch.
Paul and Jody were big Husky Fans, they were kind of bonded in the sports thing through that, being a football fan first helped, Paul was reluctant at first hoping another would step up, was convinced to buy when things got desperate, I am sure his Sister had a voice as a football fan first, Paul first love was the Blazers, but still was a fan and knew what losing a NFL franchise would mean here.

Jody. Hiring Mike and keeping John was the two best moves this org has done in over a decade. Kudos to her for letting the football guys do their thing and now they have a chance to add to Pauls legacy. She's my choice.....
Jody signed JS to an extension through 2031 before this season. For that reason, it should be Jody.

Jody for sure because she has was bold enough to let Pete go. Hire the wizard. And then extend the father of his team, JS. Plus, it’s just the way things go for the NFC ship being Paul’s sister.

joking aside, having Jody do it is about as exciting, to the average fan, as having Paul do it is about as exciting as Bittersweet Symphony as a runout.

It’s still the right thing to do

It’s a final homage to Paul, especially with video of the three he raised playing as she raises it.

Diehards will get it. Will it fire the crowd up? No. It’s still the right thing to do. The crowd never lacked for fire when Paul raised it, or when Bittersweet Symphony was the runout song.

Marshawn would be a lot more fun and exciting. Can't imagine a former Hawk who would fire up the crowd better than him.

Having Jody do it would feel like when I'm watching a golf tournament, and they bring in the Executive VP of Strategic Planning for whoever the event sponsor is into the booth. The sponsor is paying for everything, so whatever, it's perfectly acceptable to have them there, but it's not as much fun as John Daly would be. I'll bet over 90% of the crowd has no idea what Jody even looks like.

Jody seems like the logical choice and that would be totally cool. Beast Mode or the LOB would be 🔥.
