Moore faded fast though.

Starters will be Lockett and Brown, with Metcalf coming in for 3 wide sets.

Generally speaking. Pete never has that clear of a rotation.

I think Ursua takes Moore’s spot on the roster. Got a feeling Moore will be a “Mystery IR” move.

He had that one game where he had like three drops, two of the drops he was all by himself, after that game I think the confidence that Wilson had with him dropped or his own did because the rest of the season he was a non factor.

I think Jaron Brown year two, probably underutilized him last year, I probably did. We as a staff did. He does everything right, you see him doing all the dirty work in the running game, he’s physical, all the details that he does, he hit the big play out there today. David Moore, talked about him in the spring, we’re moving him around, he’s playing different spots. If there’s a more athletic, powerful guy off the ground, hard to find those guys. --- OC BRIAN SCHOTTENHEIMER July 26, 2019

The above quote sounds as if David Moore is the understudy ....... running at least a year behind Jaron Brown in his overall game development. Brown and Lockett were the top two snap count leaders among receivers on special teams. So presumably David Moore has more room to grow in that area as well.

And it sounds like DK is ready to dominate in that area.

Terry Wright, Ursua and Jazz Ferguson will be claimed before Hawks can move them to PS. The talent/depth at WR is significant.

Lockett is too good to not make the team.

DK Metalf is too high of a pick to not make the team.

These two are obvious locks.

Jaron Brown is interesting especially how the coaches are talking him up. They are overcompensating though due to lack of experience at the position. They won't hesitate to cut him if the young guys really flash in a big way, and he struggles.

David Moore is a mystery to me. He did nearly nothing the final stretch of the season and disappeared. He has too much ability, and I blame the coaching staff for not getting him more involved by game-planning to help him get out of his rut. If he is a morbid corpse in the pre-season like he was down the stretch he will be cut.

These two are very likely to make the team, but at the same time are the most ripe to get beaten out.

Ursua is too talented, and too good to not make the team. But I could see the Seahawks not giving him the proper opportunity, and then he goes to New England and stars immediately.

Terry Wright is an absolute steal. He should not have gone undrafted and he will make the team. The best undrafted WR on the team since Doug Baldwin. He is very savvy down the field, and very good after the catch very much like Tyler Lockett.

Gary Jennings is extremely talented as well. He has been dealing with a hamstring, and it could flare up on him in August, and then put on IR. A convenience they could take advantage of to gain a roster spot. Especially if David Moore & Jaron Brown both have strong training camps.

These 3 rookies are extremely talented and need to make the team, or be stashed on IR.

Malik Turner - Is a guy that needs to take a big step forward, he has an advantage over these rookies being in yr 2. So he must show it. He has descent size, and very long arms.

Keenan Reynolds - Is entering his 4th year, and has always been a practice squad, backup receiver type. He is someone you want on your team, but if he is in the starting lineup you are in trouble.

Darboh - Isn't a good enough NFL Receiver imo, but his angle to make the team will be on Special Teams.

Jazz Ferguson - Showed up overweight and out of shape at rookie mini camp. I think he is practice squad material all the way. He dug himself a big hole with that stunt and he is going to have to climb himself out of it.

My projection right now in this extremely early stage, and will change come Week 3 of the Pre-Season.

Lockett
DK
Jaron Brown
David Moore
Terry Wright
John Ursua

Stash on IR
Gary Jennings

Practice Squad
Malik Turner
Jazz Ferguson

Based on early practice reports, the Baldwin catches are going to be compensated for with the TE's

Ferguson played well and I hope we keep him. Don't agree on showing up DK. Geno was bad and missed DK twice on what should have been TDs. To me I would keep ferguson over Mooe.

Hawks had better keep Jazz or IR him at cutdown because I don’t see him going unclaimed on the waiver wire. Looking forward to seeing him get some 1st half reps the next couple weeks.

Yeah, nobody's getting cut after tonite, especially with the single cut down date now.

Looking like an interesting pre-season from here on.

That GL TD was really telling. There's a natural football awareness there.
And just all around desire. Coaches love shit like that.

Guess I am confused

On the first one down the right side DK CLEARLY gets tripped. Looked inadvertent but his foot is taken away from underneath him on a nice deep ball. Bad luck all around

On the second one Geno gets hit as he releases it. DK should have located the ball better

Okay opinions vary, the 2nd throw was bad and even caught would have been out of bounds. Geno having been hot does explain the bad throw.

Might wanna rewatch that second one. That wouldn't have been out of bounds, wasn't even close to being out.
DK should have caught it, hell he should have caught both. But they were fingertip catches with the ball dropping down, not easy catches. I don't knock him for that though, if anything it's just nice seeing how open he can be and how easily he can get open.
