Hey, you know who's asking almost the exact same question? Falcons fans, that's who. (Not that they've crushed any great teams this year, mind you.) They're probably one of the least talked-about 14-2 teams ever.

What disrespect are you talking about? I think Atlanta is a complete team and has a potentially better offense than we do. Their defense is close to as good as ours. We are playing in their house. Seahawks better come as prepared as they can be. This disrespect thing is getting old.

They have a great passing game , but our offense is more balanced with a far superior running game that leaves Wilson without much need to pass. When he needs to, he can stretch plays and make touchdowns skillfully.

Our defense is also far superior to theirs.
This game comes down to not letting the road travels hold them back. We are the better, more balanced team. Get it Legion of Boom!!!

I think we've been getting plenty of bandwagon respect from the media, and since respect is earned, hard not to see why

many were not onboard earlier in the year.

True enduring respect will come with consistant playoff calibur team

Anyway - our QB, DangeRuss already has (1) more playoff win than our adversary in ATL

May there be many more to come . . . :3:

The "No Respect" cry is like being in the dark for all our lives. After living in the dark for decades, the light of day is foreign and we need to seek the comfort of our existence.

To be pitied, dismissed and ridiculed has become such a normal occurrence we tend to be like Charlie Brown waiting for Lucy to pull the ball away at the last moment in this recent up turn of fortunes.

Get a few trophies and the mockers will have to accept that you are a threat and treat you accordingly.

If any team should pull the disrespect card it's not the Seahawks it's the Falcons. You don't go 13-3 and secure the #1 seed by being mediocre, yet if you hear anybody mention them it sounds like they're talking about a 9-7 wildcard team that barely squeaked into the playoffs.

You guys must watch different channels than me.......like channels only Martians get. Cause there's been tons of Hawk love on ESPN and the NFL Network over the past month, and especially the past two weeks.

Just about every pundit I saw last week picked the Hawks to beat the Skins, and they're still on the bandwagon this week.

Pretty much this. The storyline, if we win, will be about the Falcons choking habits.

Who cares what others think... REALLY.

I certainly don't... but I'm an old fart who stopped caring a long time ago.

We haven't won anything yet... but we will.

If you're bothered by this "no respect" nonsense, grow some thick skin... it helps.

"You guys?" You mean the topic creator? No one else is agreeing with him..

We are getting more air time and respect from the national media than pretty much anyone (except Ray Lewis, lol). Most talking heads at NFL Network and even some ESPN guys are picking us to go to the Super Bowl, and the local radio station guys here in Austin said they are looking forward to watching the Seahawks each week more than anyone else because of how dominant we are.

We were Vegas favorites to beat the Redskins, and we've gotten nothing but media love since yesterday. Even though Atlanta is "favored" by 2 points (they should be favored based on their record and seeding), most of the "analysts" are picking the Seahawks.

I think everyone in the football world is sensing that a Seattle/Green Bay rematch is in the cards, and the media will have a field day with that one.

The no respect rant is getting old. Ever since Chicago, we have been getting plenty of respect. Constantly picked to win. Every media outlet has said that we are the team nobody else wants to play. All the media is doing is trying to hype this game up. If they came out and said, "atanta is a horrible team and don't stand a chance" there would be less hype.

/agree

i like the players to feel this way, and play with a chip on their shoulders and all that, and i think they will. But c'mon, stop the whining already. leave that to the whiner fans. Who cares if we aren't respected? seriously.....

The Fox crew didn't say that, they said Atl has to be 2 diminutional but they like to get away from the run, and chuck the ball around. They said they have to stick with the run, and not play into our hands of just throwing all game.

No it will never end. We are so insecure as a fan base that we will see disrespect in everything we read or hear.

It's called the Rodney Dangerfield complex. And believe me, as a Falcon fan I truly can empathize. But the Seahawks have been getting lots of love and deservedly so. Can't wait for Sunday. Be a great match up.
