I haven’t seen anything about it (admittedly I don’t read as many posts in the off season) but according to a report I just heard, he has missed two practices and is scheduled to undergo imaging. Anyone have specifics?

Is this the opening that Howell was hoping for...gunslinger with our weapons would be pretty entertaining. Look what he did with Washington's roster. Not like we are going to be keeping Geno long term and not sure this squad is competing for the Championship at this point yet.

I am looking at what he did with Washingtons roster. 21 interceptions. Yikes.

Agreed, but if you do a little digging his coach admitted to calling plays on 3rd and long that were basically punts and just throwing deep hoping to get something and being fine if it was a deep pick instead of punting on 4th down. Add that to the fact that his receivers were some of the worst in the league at creating separation. Not saying he doesn't have accuracy issues but with a better run game and the guys he has to throw to on this roster and I would expect that number to decrease significantly along with his sack numbers.

Yup. If you look at some of the throws he made last year... there were a few that I'd consider among the best by any qb in the league. Dude can sling it

I see he threw as many interceptions vs TDs even Me3 wasn't that bad.

Geno has been reasonably durable over the last two seasons. Hopefully it stays that way.

Best case scenario? Geno will heal up in time to start the season while Howell gets some very valuable reps during preseason

Worst case scenario? Geno's injury still lingers and we start Howell and we end up with a losing season but get a very valuable draft pick that we can use for a player similar to Murphy's talent/work ethic (doesn't necessarily have to be defense) or trade down 4-5 spots (give or take) to get another 1st round pick out of it.

When I played hockey, I used to always claim non contact hockey was more dangerous than contact hockey. The accidental hits when you are not prepared for them are brutal

I would think the same applies for football
