Cards - Carson Palmer will be Carson Palmer. He'll have 3 TD and 4 INT games, with lots of yards. While they're not a true threat, I think they'll split with the 49ers and Seahawks. Honey Badger will win them a game or two with his "it" ability.

Rams - See 2012

GB - I fear this thread will become 49er and Hawk fans measuring privates, but, Capers is too old.

Bills - Manuel's for real..meaning ivotuk and I are draft genius.

Lions - Reggie Bush means they'll have more big plays wiped out by dumb penalties

Titans/Steelers - Are the Titans improved, due to having professional offensive lineman or are the Steelers old? Who KNOWS!!??

Jets - I liked their gutty performance. Propr to doc for calling that.

Jags - I suck for assuming they're improved.

Chiefs - I think competent coaching and QB play propels them to 10 wins

Browns/Fins - I like both those teams. There's a chance the Fins are better than we think. The Packers lost some of their offensive invincibility when Philbin left

NFC East - 8-8 may win it. Every division game will be 22 hamneggers throwing the ball around

NFC South - Every team is good enough to win 10 or lose 9.

You?

I learned Denver scares me a little. The AFC North went 0-4 and that makes me happy, because i hate them all. Our division was probably the best in football last year and every team got better. Boldin fits the Niners nice but doesn't scare me as a Seattle fan. From last year i've also learned week one means nothing.

Yeah, forgot Colts/Raiders. Raiders imploded a bit, but Pryor and gang had them.

I half expect the Texans to go 2008 Seahawks this year. We'll see.

I'm really disappointed in the Jags. Gabbert is bad and their OL sucks.

On the flip side, Teddy Bridgewater will look pretty good in those matte helmets, right?

I was surprised that the Fins sort of put Cleveland away in that second half. The Browns have a legitimate defense, though. There are a couple of up-and-coming defenses (Cleveland and Carolina) that are really tough and that should be fun to watch develop.

I try not to make any hard judgments in the first week games, but I agree with most of these.

on my phone at the moment, but I will add where are the running backs at? Leading rusher in the NFL was a QB, Pryor.

There was a lot of ugly football and that there is a lot of parody in the league.

He's trying really hard to prove my point; 49er fans don't know the NFL, INCORRECT. Baby steps, FTW.

At least he didn't pull a DIVA or an adjusted FAQ % from profootballfordummies website to sound smarter?

Carolina needs a running back, and a better #2 wr than Ginn. Baltimore is thin at oline, and db. Green Bay is better than they looked, but the Niners have their number. Denver was getting shredded by flack and jones, until jones got hurt. I'm not sure if that means anything that day; manning had a career day. I concur with kc winning about ten games. I think smith and Reid are a great combo. Those are pretty much the games I saw.

Carolina actually is pretty solid at RB, Williams has some life left, Stewart is talent (if not healthy), and Barner and Tolbert role players. LaFell would be their WR 2, and is pretty highly touted. Their biggest problem, and I will probably get blasted for this, is Cam Newton. The OC and head coach have no idea how to use him properly.

I think GB is exactly the team I saw vs SF. Rodgers is the only thing keeping them up. I would hate to see that team having to field a backup for any reason.

Not so sure 3 catches for 24 yards is shredding Denver's D, by Jacoby Jones. I guess it kept the defense honest to a point, but I didn't think Jones looked like anything special out there.

LaSean McCoy had a rather grand party last night. (I know you posted this is in the morning before the game.)

McCoy looks great in that offense, could be the rushing leader if he can stay healthy.

Eagles/Skins---The spread will work in the NFL. Teams have a long way to go in figuring out that offense. Eagles took their foot off the gas (or were burnt out) in the second half. They can't control the clock in the end though, that's their fatal flaw. I think the Eagles win 9-10 games and take the division. On skins: RGIII started off rusty, but proved in the end he could produce. I think they win 9-10 games too. Both teams looked better than the Giants or Cowboys.

TB/Jets--TB still sucks a little worse than the Jets, but both teams suck.

Detroit--Reggie Bush will be injured by week 3 if he's supposed to be a "workhorse" back.

Steelers--are old and slow and without their most important offensive lineman and running back, their might win 6 games this year.

Bengals---will win the AFC North with an 9-7 record, edging out Baltimore.

Chargers---Phillip Rivers needs to find a way to win in the fourth quarter, no matter how great he is in the other 3 quarters. The showing last night convinced me that they should be a playoff team and challenge Baltimore and Indy for a playoff spot.

Colts--Luck is better than I thought and will continue to will his team to wins in the fourth.

Cowboys actually looked alright, I thought. Offensive line is a huge improvement from last year. People panning their first round draft pick this year overlooked how bad their center situation was last year. Vick still makes some silly decisions, and needs to learn to slide. If Vick can stay healthy, I see them at 8-8 with that defense.

TB/Jets--TB still sucks a little worse than the Jets, but both teams suck.

They need to figure out what they are doing with Freeman. Their oline took a big hit from last year to this year, so that will impact Martin (who isn't a game changer to begin with). Freeman needs to get some confidence back.

Detroit--Reggie Bush will be injured by week 3 if he's supposed to be a "workhorse" back.

Agreed, though Bell should be able to step in just fine. Bush did play through reaggravating his groin, and dislocating his thumb, which is a positive.

Steelers--are old and slow and without their most important offensive lineman and running back, their might win 6 games this year.

On top of it, their QB and OC can't stand each other. I see Steelers coming in last, in their division.

Bengals---will win the AFC North with an 9-7 record, edging out Baltimore.

Cincy is the chic pick this year, and I don't disagree. They gave Chicago a run for their money, a little less Tillman and the Bengals win that game. AJ Green is pretty amazing, and they have quite a stable of talent on both sides of the ball. Much like Seattle, they were reluctant to really feature their rookie RB. Eifert got into the mix though, which bodes well for their offense.

Chargers---Phillip Rivers needs to find a way to win in the fourth quarter, no matter how great he is in the other 3 quarters. The showing last night convinced me that they should be a playoff team and challenge Baltimore and Indy for a playoff spot.

Their defense played great for a half. Then they let up just a bit. Throw in classic Phil Rivers, and it is shades of Norval Turner all over again. Don't see them pushing for a playoff spot this year, with Denver taking the division while KC plays a close second. SD will finish third, likely around 6-7 wins. Hell Oakland actually put up a good fight yesterday against Indy, I could see them splitting with SD.

Colts--Luck is better than I thought and will continue to will his team to wins in the fourth.

Watched this game last night on NFL rewind, actually thought Luck looked off for most of the game. Ultimately he made the plays to win, but he was far from dominant.

FTW, how'd Pryor look? Against Seattle, he surprised me, he played better than his stats portrayed.

On the Titans, I really like them this year. Munchek just looks, feels and sounds like a ball coach, IMO.

Yeah, after seeing him twice in person (preseason) I knew what to expect. Not a lot of pocket passing, but when he does set up he has a hell of an arm (strength wise). Actually was functional as a passer, better touch than I have seen from him previously. As a runner/scrambler, he just makes people look silly. Guys will have the angle on him, and he still just scoots past. He had at least one Wilson-esque play, where he scrambled around, dodging defenders multiple times back and forth across the field, only to hit a WR wide open down the field. They will win a few games this year, just based on his ability to extend the plays. He will rack up a lot of yards, as defenses sit in zone coverage and dare him to throw, while he takes the 10-15 yards they are giving him on the ground. He has a some sneaky talent at WR as well, with guys like Rod Streater being a savvy enough to comeback to the QB while Pryor is scrambling.

McFadden looked promising at times as well, and almost pulled in a long TD pass from Pryor.

They will get beat up, but they will catch a few teams slipping. Definitely not as bad as Jacksonville looked this week.

Edit: completely butchered a sentence in there.
