Cool week in the NFL. Here we're a couple of things I enjoyed;
Steelers - Before Super Bowl XL, I always liked the Steelers a lot. I always appreciated their ability to adapt and be progressive. Be it Kordell Stewart or Randel-El the Steelers toed the line between smash-mouth and trickery, well. Plus,. they ruin a crazy 3-4 with a priority on sending random LB's top the QB. It's just fun.
I'm starting to kind of like them again. I've always liked Tomlin...from his initial press conference I remember thinking "bastards just got another great coach for 10-15 years". Last night I enjoyed seeing Harrison have a resurgence, dude's just a football player. As much as I hate Haley, that offense may've finally bought in to what he's doing. And, Munchek is doing a whale of a job with that line...this offseason I thought Kubiak and Munchek we're the best staff hires heading into the season.
They're doing a lot with little in Pittsburgh.
Phinsies - We'll see if they can keep it up come December, but man alive we're they impressive yesterday. Tannehill thrives when Philbin stops obsessing and lets him run around a bit. That Dolphins team has been waiting to be very good for two years now, they've had the pieces, they've just choked it away.
Cowboys - They're about to unravel. All year long they've been on borrowed time with that defense, a QB with a bad back, and a brutal second half of the schedule. This week they play a Jags team which defensively is improving at an alarming rate and an offense that can now run the ball, well. The Cowboys may get upset this week in London. Jags are due to hit on all cylinders and the Cowboys are ripe to be upset, again.
Rams At least they closed the deal this time. They're not a football team, they're the annoying result of some 21yo's draft blog. If they would've lost yesterday, I would've started a charity to have them disbanded. Uggh they're hateble.
