Who do you want?

Free agency and the Draft

I haven't been looking at the guys in the draft because we didn't need one.

I saw people talking about Elijah Moore and if the price is right I am into that.

Draft has a lot of talent in WR, good depth from rounds 2-4 with some spilling over into 5 even. I think the team still has to sign someone in FA, but the options aren't great, and then maybe snag two WR in the draft.

We need 1 guy really and that's it. People on dot net really have not grasped the scheme yet on offense it seems. This isn't going to be a shotgun throw it 50 times a game offense. The new coordinator is bringing in an old school, run heavy, 2 back 2 TE type of offense. JSN is the perfect #1 for this offense too, they just need a deep threat opposite him that is also a good blocker. DK would have been perfect but he wanted to much money and thought of himself as a #1 not a #2. That's why he's gone.

Darius Slayton is a good option in FA and there's guys in the draft that they can target as well in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. It's not as big a concern as fans might think though in the style of offense they want to play.

I am not saying we need two starters. We need one starter and some depth. Slayton is interesting (at the right price of course)

I would take a flyer on vets like Elijah Moore or Rondale Moore. It's just weird seeing guys like Dynami Brown get 10M/yr and Slayton get 12M/yr, I hope we don't overpay for mediocre players.

Oh no, people understand the scheme but regardless what anyone says, you can’t go into the season with JsN, a 2nd guy (preferably a rookie) and Bobo as your #3. You will at times play 3 wr sets and if you have an injury.

I still think Kupp has some in the tank and it would be a coming home story. Not opposed to him being our WR2 at all. I was hoping for Adams but that evil empire in LA grabbed him.

Really doubt Kupp would want to come here but maybe. No way was Adams coming here.

One year, or a two year that is essentially a one year can be doable if he's cheap. If he likes the idea of "coming home" and maybe sticking it to the Rams then nice.

I wonder if MVS on a cheap deal makes sense. We need speed on this team at WR. He is a good run blocker too.
I know he has stone hands but all that's needed is the threat of being beat deep.

I feel at peace with our wide receiver situation. If there is one thing that John Schneider knows how to do, it is find wide receivers. I can't seem to recall any one of Schneiders teams being weak at the WR position. Of course, we did have that one bust, but JSN, Golden Tate, Baldwin, Kearse, DK Metcalf and Lockett were all fantastic 1000+ yard receivers.

I'd look towards the draft honestly, I think it's a major need -- but one I'm confident we can fill. If we draft Egbuka we will have the Ohio State Wide Receiver corps which is kind of funny.

If we sign Kupp to a cheap deal he might be able to be a pretty decent slot option behind whoever we draft. We can keep Bobo as our jump ball specialist and we have it made at the wide receiver position.

JSN is our #1 and I’m very comfortable with that. I know Bobo has a lot of hype, but I think the team should still get someone like Elijah Moore. He’d be the defacto #2 (tempting for him) and then draft a receiver between Rounds 2-4

Based on the new O strategy, the FO might be targeting TE higher than WR in the draft. It’s a focal point that may need a more dominant horse than we have in the stable.

Fant and Barner are capable, but not dominant.

Warren could be that player…not sure. Taylor is intriguing even though his stats didn’t pop.
