How many runs up the middle did we have to endure? How many times in the read option did Wilson hand off to Lynch when he should have kept it and run for a huge gain?

There's a lot to dislike about this game, especially in the first 30 minutes but those two factors made me want to chew glass.

we ran way too much...what was Lynchs biggest gain? that killer run at the end of the game that was a PASS..we werent doing anything with running game...so what...first time out of like 20 we couldnt run...i can live with that. We were clearly better passing

From what I saw they were playing the read option very well and staying disciplined, where Lynch is suppose to get the ball, we just weren't getting the push up front.

I have to agree. I kept wondering why he handed off so much. Maybe he just wasn't reading it right? But ya, too many straight runs when I felt Wilson would have done much better keeping it himself.

I don't have DVR, but it seemed to me that the kicker kicked AFTER the timeout was called. They said something on KIRO about the NFL having concerns about those kinds of "practice" kicks, but apparently there are no rules regarding it.

Aros,

I initially was thinking the same thing on the Read Option plays going nowhere with Marshawn up the middle, but they played a couple of replays and the DE for Atlanta was staying home instead of crashing down so Russell was making the correct read. Atlanta was just doing a good job of defensing it.....would have been interesting if we tried another one of those Read Option "leads" like last week.
