I think if we have the team get into it like they did (scoreboard, etc.), we could beat it again. It's not a knock on them because they legitimately beat it, but I just think we could do it again.

The team and stadium wasn't allowed to participate at all so no scoreboard helping either.

Yeah it's a little interesting that our team said they wouldn't or wasn't allowed to participate but KC did.

I'll take a deeper playoff run over some meaningless record. Because we all know KC is going to get bounced early...let's ask the Chiefs fans how great it is to have that record come February. It'll be worth about as much as the 18-1 Patriots.

It was cool to get the record, nobody can debate wheter or not it's crazy loud at CLink or not and apparently KC as well. I'm over it, onto bigger and better things now. Like the NFCW title and HFA... I do however think it's weird how they were able to use the scoreboard to track the decebels and we were not.. Or maybe Seattle FO wanted nothing to do with it? who knows.

They beat us by almost an entire decibel. Outside of another beast quake incident. I'm not sure if we could take it back without the below scenario:

How about we not be jerks (like they were for battling it so soon after we just set it) and let them just enjoy it for even an entire season. Then the next MNF/SNF game with potentially the new 10k seating being added, with the billboards prompting the crowds (hey they did it, so fair is fair). I have a feeling we'd take it back by a good .5-1 dB.

On a side note, those KC fans had to endure a 2 win season last year. Overall I'm happy for them 6-0 start and the loudest stadium record.

I went to a Hawks vs Chiefs game way back in the day when we were still AFC. It is an extremely loud venue probably the loudest I have been to outside of the Kingdome. I knew they would have a very good shot to break it. I am not sure why any of us should have animosity towards them I think they had been planning it right along the same time line as Tafoya was. Either way it is no shame that they were able to beat us like Pete says always compete. I think the circumstances around the two events are different that doesn't mean that one is better or worse than the other. I bet if we measured during the Kindome days or even during a peak moment like NFC Championship or the Giants game our record would be much higher. Either way if we want that title we will just have to get back up on the horse and try again. Nothing wrong with that.
