We've never had the #1 overall pick, we've held the #2 three times (1976, 1977, 1993). Bosworth was picked in the 1987 supplemental draft by exercising Seattle's 1988 #1 pick, which had an assigned value of #18 overall based on the 1987 draft order. If any team that finished worse than Seattle in 1986 had bid their 1988 1st rounder on Bosworth, we wouldn't have gotten him.
