In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.
So the wife and I will be @ 'Hawks training camp in the morning courtesy of her AWESOME aunt!
Well, I am an amateur photog with a fairly good Canon DSLr and NEED to know if they are even allowed? I would hate to lug my ginormous cam/backpack all the way there, only to be told "Cellphones ONLY Sir"
That would really suck, obviously.

Your replies will be greatly appreciated!

Just make SURE that you pack your memory card, lol - got there today with my DSLR and the only card I had wouldn't even format! I can confirm that they make you open up your bag to confirm that you don't have any lenses over 12" in length - but those are HUGE and cost prohibitive and aren't in most semi-pro bags.

My guess is that it's probably about the same as cameras that you can bring to games. I brought the 200mm to a game and had no issues. That's only about 6".

I went to Friday practice with my Canon Eos 30d with my 70-200 f2.8 lens and 1.4x extender all attached. It was slung over my shoulder and in plain sight and I didn't hear a word from anyone working there. The only comment I heard was from a fellow attendee who seemed surprised that they let me in, but when I measure that lens it is definitely under 12".

I'll also second the recommendation to bring an extra card. I filled my card with 877 pics and forgot to save space for after the practice when a bunch of players came to the railing to sign autographs.
