Josh Naylor makes the most sense to me. Trade for him then sign him long term. He's under 30. You have enough outfielders. Young and Williamson are playing decent but they aren't slugging. You need more power in the infield.
Trading for Geno wouldn't be a bad move but it would make Ms ownership look silly. Why even let the guy go in the first place just to trade prospects to bring him back?

Naylor does make the most sense, but I would give up the farm, most of it anyways, for Acuna. I know we don't need OF, but a talent like that would be unbelievable. The Julio we all wanted. Plus, I think Arozarena might be gone after this year. He is making too much for this ownership.

1- Acuna (dream)
2- Naylor
3- Geno

I haven't looked much further than that since I have little hope we do anything outside of a Santana or Moncada from Angels deal.

The longer it takes Ye Faith is shaken. Eugenio is 8 million now and Naylor is 5. They get in there and win we could trim fat in other areas to resign them. Time to fix this Turner, Garver and Solana type slop fest.

Get this fan some real hitters or I'm leaving Rootsports.

Yankees acquired Ryan McMahon. A guy that has the 2nd most K's in all of MLB, and is hitting .217 this season in the most hitter friendly ballpark in baseball. Lol.

I'm stoked he's off the market because I really didn't want the M's to pick him up if they aren't able to get Geno.

If the cost for Geno is too high, I'd rather have this guy and TBH
I want him over Geno.

He has been my dream get for the last 4 years. Maybe I told this story before but my wife and I watched him in spring training vs M's when he was a nobody. He killed it. My wife asked me is that guy really that good. I said no but I think he might be soon. It was fun watching him grow into what he is today.

I can't believe for the life of me that they would trade him. He loves Cleveland and even took a major discount to stay there. I mean it doesn't hurt to ask, but I just can't see it.

We MIGHT have been thinking about it.. but A) Arizona wanted more than was realistic simply because of his HR numbers... his fielding has DROPPED a ton... B) he technically might have a fractured knuckle etc.

Regardless without B) .... A) had NO ONE WANTING to give up the massive prospects the Diamondbacks thought they should get for a plus 30 player... THey are nuts and just playing hardball.. . Guy will probably stay there and have a GREAT season with no playoffs.

Sometimes you can be too greedy. Not sure they were, but it might just bite them in the ass now especially if he broke the knuckle. Too bad for him, and though I wanted his bat, I didn't want them to pay the heavy price to get it.
