Now that we no longer have to project the rest of his Seahawks career, I thought this would be a good time to re-visit. Is he the Best Seahawk of all time? Kinda leaning Big Walt myself.

Depends on how you define top 5 I guess. As in biggest impact on the team or how good they were at their position?

If it is team impact Russ is number 1.

If you go by how good they are at their position I’d put Big Walt, Largent, Tez, Easley, Wagner, Sherman, Lynch, ET and Chancellor above him. Might’ve still missed a few.

Wilson was the most important player ever for the Seahawks.

Not even sure it is close.

Largent was great and all, and Walt was one of the greatest players ever.

But Wilson instantly converted us into one of the winningest franchises in the NFL for a decade.

He delivered a SB win.

And he was the difference in Ws/Ls for at least half a decade.

The LOB drove our SB run, with Lynch punching through the opponents along the way.

But Wilson delivered when he needed to. And he made us winners for almost the ten years after that SB.

No other player in the history of this franchise made that much difference between success and failure.
