I really expected to see Ouzts catch a pass or two and jumbo run game and an offense that grinds down the field at a snails pace unstoppable like a lava flow through the streets of LA… I thought cooper kupp would be open all day…. JSN is a star but he needs help. Why do we have so many tight ends and fullbacks if we’re gonna run spread single back ….. I’m really frustrated and confused

I feel ya. The KC game was a mirage. I feel bamboozled.

Darnold looked like Trent Dilfer out there.

We already HAD Dilfer. We are already familiar with that kind of offense and that kind of QB.
I'm hoping we are just out of sync.

The upside is that Charbs didn't look near as crappy this game. Last year he looked slow/plodding. He seems much quicker and seems to have more power.
Downside is our QB looked pedestrian at best, and our defense is not good enough for that (BTW playing the 49ers with 2 of their biggest threats out is about as easy as it gets. The defense was not impressive considering the offense they faced).

Lack of TOP tells the story....limited opportunities to get things rolling. That contributes to the D being gassed at the end which was also a factor in this loss. Good thing it's only week 1, a lot of lessons learned I hope.

I have full faith, this game ain't nothin' but a pre-season tune up for starters. Those three preseason games before this one were for rookies, ain't for starters.

Hawks' defense remains #1 in the league,
Hawks' offense will come along to be top 10.

Faith, ain't gonna let one game detail my homerism.

It almost looked like the hawks were in a prevent defense
The whole game.

That last TD the niners had in the end zone was pathetic,
Woolen needs to knock that ball down instead of trying to
Intercept.

It's early, only one game into the season, but the questions going into the season about our offense remain:

--Has our OL improved from being a near worst in the league the last three years or so to being a middle of the pack group
--Is Darnold a good enough QB to win us games, rather than just not lose us games
--Is our receiving corp too thin now to make us a multi-dimensional threat offense
--How much is our offensive game-planning going to improve to best utilize the talent we have

All these questions are going to be a work-in-progress this season. At the very least, we need answers to these questions this year so we know how to best move forward next off-season in making this team more competitive at the highest levels.

Never false advertising. Just too many here had unrealistic expectations. Everyone predicting we would be a 12 or 13 win team. Really.

So many new people on offense, it is just going to take some time to figure it out. Some good things to take away from the game, some bad things that need to be addressed

We were one play short of winning this game. Just one play

I think our line is improved maybe we need more still but it is better. I don’t remember but did we get sacked?

I say false advertising because this team preached run the ball and has TWO FULLBACKS! And we did not play that way

Last play of the game was technically a strip sack by Bosa when he pushed Lucas into Darnold

True. The most critical moment… and that was Abe. But Joey bosa made a play and Sam Darnold kinda panicked and just let himself lose the ball. I wish we ran it on that play. But I wish we tush pushed with Milroe on 4th instead of kicking.

But those are the kinda things I hope will change. Are we worried about Darnold getting hurt, I’m not, if anything he is tough, treat him like a running qb and bootleg like crazy. We have an awesome jumbo personnel that should be able to be massively deceptive. Also are we convinced Jalen Milroe will be our qb some day? I’m not, so use him!!!! I still have hope that Mike is gonna go rip heads off and make Kubiak run the ball. I don’t think we need a genius coordinator. I think Mike knows what he wants and he needs to do it himself like Pete used to do
