Guess its selective.
Yeah, selective in that we are in the same division and our team has to play on that crap grass, which the 49ers organization hasn't been able to get right for the 2nd year in a row.
When? At present, or a year ago when they "pinpointed the cause of the field's recent problems" and decided the solution was to revert to the kind of grass they had at Candlestick?NINEster":2s5w4qhq said:Levi's is like field turf compared to Candlestick esp in the playoffs.
Hahaha... Do you honestly take the rivalry less seriously because Seahawks fans get a chuckle out of the fact that the people running your team's billion-dollar stadium can't get the grass right? When your starting QB's silver lining is that the field isn't as bad as some little league fields, that's pricelessly funny. That's gold, Jerry! GOLD!NINEster":2s5w4qhq said:Hard to take the rivalry serious when every aspect of the franchise is nitpicked .
And as a reminder, you are choosing to participate in a multi-page thread specifically devoted to the problems of your team. If your expectation is for us to avoid discussing how the 49ers troubles have permeated the entire operation, from the front office, coaches, all-time great players, young promising players, legal woes, to the very playing surface, you are in the wrong place. And "nit-picking" suggests we are seeking out tiny, tiny issues. We are not. These are all headline-making, substantive problems and you know this.
Also, there appears to be no end to the field malady. The plan is for the field to "be replaced as needed during the season." That should bother you way more than it bothers us. If it doesn't yet, it will when and if it causes injury to a 49er. "Last year, the 49ers' brand-new Levi's Stadium had a problem with its turf -- chunks of grass and dirt so large and uneven that players were at risk of rolling ankles and suffering injuries." And from that same article, "Meanwhile, there's concern that the turf has actually gotten worse from 2014."
Tomsula said they canceled practice there when the field fell apart after day 1 because they weren't going to put the players at risk. Your team's ongoing problems and lack of solutions is the cause of the lackluster rivalry, not Seahawks fans picking on every aspect of the 49ers franchise.
What are you inferring? Or is it implying? Are you saying Giants fans have shown restraint and Seahawks fans are stooping to unfair or unsportsmanlike levels of rival-fan taunting? Eyeroll.NINEster":2s5w4qhq said:The Giants' fans hate the 49ers just as much but don't resort to much outside of Harbaugh and the rivalry hate.
In the past months I've seen way more sympathy on this site for 9er fans than we'll ever see on a 9ers board for Seahawks fans. Truth is, most of us here wouldn't wish all these disasters on any team's fans, but it is happening and while it is we are going to get a kick out of it.
We don't even have to get our popcorn ready. The popcorn machine has been cranking continually since the Harbs/York debacle found its way into the media this past season and the laughable, subsequent attempts to tell the public there was nothing to see there.
