When Marshawn Lynch no longer plays. It was so obvious today he is and always will be the heart and identity of this team. It's a completely different feel when a different back is playing, and it pervades all units, including the defense and ST's. It'll be a massive blow the day we lose him.

I'm honestly not too worried about it. We al know he has a few good years left. We got Michael for a reason. He will fill the role just fine

Yeah it definitely will not be the same. Maybe Paul Allen should sink some of his billions into figuring out how to keep Marshawn's body from aging.

I hope he gets a few Superb Owl rings before he goes. Get that man in the HoF and put a banner up for him. He's backbone to this team and is the best RB in franchise history by a mile.

Someone wasn't around for this:

Seahawks Announce They Will Leave Seattle
NFL: Destination is L.A. area, sources say. Judge issues temporary restraining order to stop the club from moving.
February 03, 1996|T.J. SIMERS | TIMES STAFF WRITER

The Seattle Seahawks announced Friday that they are leaving their name, their logo and their uniforms behind, presumably to become the Los Angeles Whatevers once a tangle of lawsuits is resolved in Washington.

King County Superior Court Judge Dale Ramerman granted the county a 14-day restraining order and scheduled a Feb. 16 hearing to listen to arguments on whether to issue an injunction to keep the Seahawks from being moved or sold.

Michael can be electric, but I doubt he can elicit the same emotion and response from the defense like Marshawn. On that opening drive when he caught the ball short on third and 4 and absolutely mauled Moore in the face and dragged five guys for the first down, did you see fired up Kam and Wagner got? I'm sorry, I don't think you can replace that. Forget about his amazing productivity, Marshawn is the fire that lights this team.

To me that's what makes Lynch a great player. He wants the rock and wants to win, but doesn't seem to get sucked into the stat line. Huge contrast to the me first attitude of Alexander.

I am not worried at all. Love him. Cherish him. Roll with him. He is a legend.

Legends come and go. After The Beast, there will be another legend born.

But yes, that man is a special Seahawk.

I'm with ya Bruce, doesn't someone in the booth keep track of that stuff? Watching him on the sidelines he didn't seem concerned.

One thing, he has made NFL history with his "Saints Gate" run.

Yeah, but they DIDN'T move.
When it's all said and done and Lynch plays his last snap for Seattle, you won't be able to turn up a year later and see business as usual with him

I love Shawn he's amazing the way he breaks tackles. He's a fearless kamikaze runner. I like Turbo as well and at times he looks good and given regular carries I'm sure he could shine. Michael looked really good today from the limited amount we saw. For now we have Shawn and he's got a few good years left in him and I for one plan to enjoy them while they last.

Every time you said Shawn I kept thinking about Shaun and was really confused.
