Root for him because he is a Seahawk, and a part of the team, IMO.

Unfortunately dougie smalls only looks that good when his defender slips. Que the other 98% of the season when our wrs can't get separation. blows my mind when people call doug baldwin quick or fast, in the context of nfl fast. Percy or no percy, the problem with our passing game and running game for that matter is that no one needs to be double teamed, any one of our corners could should down db all day long with 1v1 coverage. Will be great if we get percy back regardless though, we need the weapons badly and im sure he will demand a nice amount of attention.

Yeah Baldwin is very smart, which means he's great at finding spots and seams in zones. But he struggles mightily with press or man coverage, especially against bigger physical corners.

If the forecasts hold, then that means for at least two of the four quarters the Saints will HAVE to kick to Percy.........or squib it. Either way resulting in great field position.

You know, Percy was SOOOO open on that play, even with the double team.

Disagree, the safety helping out means Wilson can't go over the top, and if he goes underneath there's a linebacker exactly in position to make a play.
If the safety bites on Baldwin then Percy has room to do serious damage for sure, but I don't think Percy is open there.

Okay, I get you. It would then become a where-to-place-the-throw thing.

So, a safety biting on a pump-fake would allow the throw over the top and then it's 6.

I like our chances.

Plays like this and any other with PH on the field will open up the underneath throws when Percy is on the field because of his speed and Safeties needing to respect it.

"Coach Pete Harvin said he expects Harvin to be active. "I'm just looking to jump on the bus and enjoy the ride," Harvin said after Thursday's practice. Harvin believes he's turned a corner, so much so that he "absolutely" hopes to return kicks vs. the Saints. Harvin still isn't going to be an every-down player — he's simply missed too much time — but will be a high-upside play in daily leagues. The Seahawks offense was stagnant at times in December, and Harvin could be just the jolt it needs."

Not to derail the thread, but why does ADB always do a little hop right when the ball is snapped before he starts running his route? I'm far from an expert, but that seems like the type of thing a coach would discourage.

I'd like to see Percy and Marshawn line up in the backfield on either side of Russell... and then have Russell run the read option from that Pistol formation.

Options: Hand off to Marshawn... hand off to Percy... Russell keeps and runs... Russell keeps and throws to Percy... or Marshawn... either one coming out of the backfield... or Russell throws down field to Miller, Baldwin or Tate... or to the back that didn't get the handoff.

And reality just hit Rob Ryan so hard that Rex felt it. I can't wait.
