Much respect to the Seahawks defense for continuing the fight. Yet again McVay got overly conservative with a 4th quarter lead. At some point 1 of the offensive coaches needs to get in his ear. To be fair he didn't do it last week when the game got tight and the Rams eased away. On Thursday he reverted to type.

I saw dropped passes from Parkinson. Overthrown tipped pass from your RB that was almost picked. A couple of errant / hurried passes from your QB. Maybe he went conservative, but players need to execute too.

The players always need to execute. The bigger point was that the Rams had 92 offensive plays. The TEs had 209 combined snaps - so there's a lot of 13 personnel. The TEs combined for 88 receiving yards out of a team total of 581 yards. Obviously there are some situational things that play into the game but it's clear what works best. When the Rams have 3 TEs on the field it shouldn't be THAT hard for a defense to limit what the other 2 players can generate.

One factor was Nwosu's big hits on Stafford's ribcage which sent him briefly to the medical tent. His passes were hurried and weren't as sharp after that.

Watched Stafford's post-game interview and when asked about the medical tent he said he had to go to the bathroom and didn't want to go in. Evidently Nwosu hit the Cra* out of him..................

I don't think we figured anything out as much as they played a bit more conservative. The change we did make is that we chose to bracket Puka more towards the end but then when we stopped, he broke one open again in OT.

No doubt there was an element of momentum at play after we started to surge. The reflection of that to a degree (in addition to playing not to lose) was the Rams beginning to feel a bit of doubt.

I think in using our first game against them as a barometer, we fooled ourselves some. In that game, they played a bit more conservatively as well, rolling the dice on the belief they could hold on and not risk much to get the win. Stafford pretty much admitted to their entire game plan changing in game 1 after they got up so quickly.

Their successive failed drives in this game weren't unlike the stretch they had against us in game 1 between the 2nd and 3rd qtrs. When they turned things up even in that game, they scored on us.

That's not to say it's all about them choosing not to go for the kill and not how good we are on D. They just played this last game brilliantly to open the game, pounding our DLine again and again and using 4 downs to move the chains. That carried into the 2nd half.

I just wish we had committed more to the run. Walker and Charbs were doing really well and I think it would have been the perfect antidote to what they were doing to us. Grinding is down and then hitting us over the .middle for big chunks.

I think the run D was much better in the 2nd half. I was surprised looking at the stats to see Willaims and Corum only averaged 3 and 3.4 yards respectively. Seemed like the Rams ran much better than that while watching the game

I agree about the Run D.

Once that started tightening up, it slowed down the Rams offense considerably.

Imagine if we got the same performance throughout the game.

This game would've been over in regulation.

Just got to do better if (or when) we meet them again in the Playoffs.

Stafford sailed a lot of throws after that hit. Even the OT TD to Nakua was high.

For those who watched on TV, did you listen to the MacDonald interview at halftime? When asked about D and he said things like "we need to make a couple of adjustments and we'll be fine", I had faith that he would do that. Might seem weird in a game where they still give up 17 in the 2nd half but 7 game after the ball was on the 1 and they got stops when they needed.

Hate to burying Pete when he's down but MacDonald talking about adjustments they would make made me feel better than when Pete would say stuff like "we just need to tackle better". It made me feel like he had no real solutions

PC didn't believe in adjusting to his opponents.

When we hired MM I posted that his use of "tricking" opponents with defensive plays showed how he would attack weaknesses and change game plans to maximize opportunity to win.

I suspect that as we improve our HFA with wins our fans will not be selling their tickets to opposing team's fans nearly as readily as has been the case for the past few years. And wins like this one could surely keep fans "in the game" for the duration instead of giving up when things look down.

We talked about it leaving the stadium. I've never seen so few Rams fans at a home game. We took over that stadium.

EXACTLY. It's one thing to get torched, which they did. It's a totally different thing to hold THAT offense to 5 straight possessions without a score in the 4th. HUUUUGE. I'd rather appreciate that than dwell on the first 3 quarters.

Stafford said in post game he had to pinch a loaf (or maybe a whiz)….either way, thinking he’s camouflaging any sign of weakness. I’d do the same. But agree Nwosu shook him on that hit.

The issue with this is the significant price increase by Seattle

Also the teams holds back way more tickets and sell them via TM at dynamic pricing
