Interesting (awkward) interview, John seems to be feeling the pressure. He is well aware that the fan base is not happy with the state of Oline.

Understandable, there are always comprehension challenges among any fan base. The ongoing shortage of NFL linemen has been addressed by teams thru out the league. I suspect most GMs are publicly less than comfortable with the subject.

I think he hit a home run with Kubiak and Benton
I hope so too, although Grubb and Huff never really set a very high bar. I am pretty sure Kubiak will institute a much better scheme and with Benton coming in, with 33 years experience, should be able to coach up the O line as compared to Huff who was in his first year in the league. And let's not forget about Rick Dennison who's also got a ton of experience with the offence.
I am a lot more excited about this staff compared to the shit show we witnessed last year.

I make a living reading executives. I didn't get that at all. I like the interaction between JS and coach Mac. There is some good energy there. These guys are on the same page.

I felt the same. They are both confident in what they are building. It's not perfect yet, but you can sense they are very aligned.

I just posted this on the wrong thread, but I heard this new scheme will benefit Christian Haynes. So I'm hopeful that he still works out, because that would be huge

PFF had him rated one of the highest zone blocking O linemen coming out of college. he will thrive in the new system. This is the most positive I've been about this team in a decade.
