......at times, the GIants D LEGIT looked like the most dominant defense of all-time, the 1985 Chicago Bears. They utterly dominated the Hawks offense which is NOT a good sign when Russ and the offense are the strength of this team.

the same defense that managed to barely squeak by Colin Krapernick in the NFC title game by the skin of their teeth? The 85 Bears didn't surrender a single point in the playoffs and single-handedly scored more points themselves than BOTH of the offenses they faced on their way to the Super Bowl. If you want to discuss objective statistical analysis which accounts for "different eras, different opponents, different seasons, etc etc.", both smart football and pro football focus AND pro football reference have concluded that the 85 Bears were superior to loud mouth dickie and his boys.
