My gut tells me that we will drop 2 of 3 games this weekend to the Cards, but the Root broadcasters will continue their positive spin and outlook after another shitty game. For once, I would LOVE to hear one of them really say how it is.

Quietly the Mariners have made some good low key moves during the season. They basically got the Blue Jays version of 2014 Chris Young for free and have demoted Nori Aoki to make room. Both are good moves.

The players may be in a horrible funk but at least the GM and ownership haven't yet quit on the 2016 season.

Hey, they showed Babineaux throwing out the first pitch.

That has to count for something.

Nice managing Servais you jackass! Do you have something against starting pitching throwing more than 6? I mean he was at 80+ pitches and throwing a gem.... Wtf man!!! They are professional athletes, they can pitch 7-8 innings.
Way to walk bases loaded then the tying run in, then you take him out. Great management jerkwad.
Nice play seager.
A great performance all the way around. UNREAL!!!! So pissed!!!!

I posted to soon.

Wow, what a game to be at! No better way to see your team win in person for the first time than a walk off home run. Being in straight away center with a million dollar view of the mound, I'll say Leblanc was fantastic. Dipoto was serious about this guys off speed stuff. He may not have the best velocity, but his change up and cutter were lethal. He threw a lot of strikes. Possible replacement for either Karns or Miley. I really hope he can build on this game. I'll be pulling for him

I can't understand why some of you thought it was going to be ok when we lose SP's and keeps using a [email protected] is no team in baseball that will win doing that

Cruz seems to be holding the bat different tonight. Or maybe it's just my imagination, with those thick cobalt blue-and-gold stripes running down the sleeve on the throwback uni highlighting his arm more. Either way, hope the 5-0 score heading into the third inning means we're regaining some of that May mojo.

Wow, this is freakin' me out with the old uni's! Time warp! lol Doesn't that mean we're gonna lose?
After the last couple of inning, I'm beginning to wonder. Apparently Karns can't do more than about 3 innings. :34853_doh:

Yeah, he'd be better suited as a bullpen arm. It's clear he is definitely not starter quality. Not even close.

I thought I was seeing things when that fan ran onto the field during the play. Too bad the ball didn't clock the jackass. I thought it was a chick the way he was running.

So happy we are finally playing well at the weekend, at home and against the cardinals of all teams. Im hoping the mojo is back, it needs to be.

Still pissed off we lost 4 games against detroit though. Been a rough june and julys schedule is just as daunting. Baltimore, kc, rejuvinated astros a ton of times, white sox, cubs, blue jays and pirates.

Need felix and the rest of the pitchers back asap and the bullpen rested.

I was at the United Brotherhood of Carpenters International Training Center Friday and Saturday. People come from all around the US and Canada for training there. I wore a brand spanking new M's polo shirt Saturday and one of the guys in my mentor class approached me during one of the breaks and asked if I was a M's fan. I was hesitant to answer with hell yes. I half apologetically said yes, but haven't been following them for more than a decade because they have just flat out sucked. He asked why I would say that. I gave him a brief run down of the issues, mostly ownership, lack of responsibility of management etc. but also that the players just haven't performed. He then tells me his son plays for the M's.

His name is Anthony Zych. It was an awkward moment. I left it with Seattle is a baseball town and his son will experience a fan base like he has never seen if they can grind out wins.

I was there from 93 - 2003 as an adult, paying for tickets and going to games. I used to watch the games on TV and follow the box scores when I was 10 - 13 YO back 1980 - 1983. Just as an FYI. I just felt bad for this proud dad, his son was bought and dumped in to the cesspool of Marinerdom.

Wait that wasn't an ugly unathletic girl?
